The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, September 2, tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will read about Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) survival. He’ll plan to tell Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), but she’ll admit she already ran into Chloe and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). Chelsea will still be struggling over all the pain and turmoil Chloe caused.
Nick will seem a bit sympathetic toward Chloe since he knows how hard it is to lose a child. He’ll put the blame on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and insist his brother was a jerk long before Chloe entered the picture. Nick will be curious about Chelsea’s friendship with Chloe and whether she might want it back.
At Society, Kevin will reassure Chloe about leaving drugged Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) alone. He’ll also decide to text Billy’s loved ones from his phone and lie about rehab. Next, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will appear with questions for Chloe. She’ll get filled in on Billy’s knowledge of Chloe’s survival along with the fact that Adam was blackmailing them.
Victoria will think Billy’s heightened outrage makes sense under the circumstances. She’ll promise to let Chloe and Kevin know when Billy returns to Genoa City. Once they’re alone, Kevin and Chloe will battle guilt over deceiving Victoria. However, Chloe will believe she can get through to Billy, so their secret will stay under wraps for now.
Speaking of secrets, Adam will divulge a brand-new one when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) tries to wiggle out of their partnership. He’ll ask what Michael’s son is up to these days and reveal that Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) has been partying a little too hard out on tour. Adam will show off a photo of Fen dealing drugs, so a furious Michael will snatch him by the shirt.
Y&R spoilers say Adam will suggest Fen would get eight years in the state pen. He’ll seem quite pleased with himself for finding something else to hold over Michael’s head. At Jabot, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will discuss donating to the addiction treatment facility with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Soon after, he’ll receive the text from Billy’s phone about rehab.
Back with Michael, he’ll track Lauren down and explain that Fen’s using again. Michael will confess that Adam has proof, so they’ll plan to set up an intervention and get Fen the treatment he needs. Lauren will be incensed over Adam dragging their son into this, so she’ll argue that they’re going to take him down together.
At Nick’s place, Victoria will discuss Billy’s rehab stint with her brother. She’ll feel like she’s lost her connection with Billy and fear he’s not really in rehab at all. In the boat house, Billy will wake up confused about where he is. In the park, Chloe and Kevin will enjoy a picnic with Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) and Bella Fisher (Martie Blair). When Chelsea shows up, Chloe will step aside to talk.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will acknowledge that she’s screwed up plenty of times, too. She’ll also get why Chloe was so fixated on Adam’s death. Chloe will know she doesn’t deserve forgiveness, but she’ll admit she misses their friendship. They’ll eventually share a hug before Chelsea becomes part of the picnic fun.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack will speak with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about Billy’s rehab stint before talk turns to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). He won’t understand what made Dina so unhappy that she abandoned them. Traci will contend that maybe Dina didn’t know either, and a flashback will back up the idea. Jack will ultimately admit Dina’s life was out there somewhere, so she just had to go find it.
