The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, September 2. tease that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will hang out at Society and try to decide what to do about Bill Abbott (Jason Thompson), who’s still unconscious in the boathouse. They’ll decide that they can use Billy’s phone to send a text to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy’s family saying he’s in rehab.
Victoria will then arrive and spot them. She’ll have lots of questions for Chloe about her return from the dead, and she’ll learn that Billy knew that Chloe was alive, which will come as a shock. After Victoria leaves, Chloe and Kevin will feel awful for lying about Billy’s situation, but Chloe will think she can make up for it if she can get Billy’s head straight. Kevin will then send the rehab text from Billy’s phone.
Later, Kevin, Chloe, Bella Mitchell (Martie Marie Blair), and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will enjoy a Labor Day picnic in Chancellor Park while Billy remains unconscious at the boathouse. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will happen upon the scene, and Chloe will see her staring at them. Chloe will go talk to Chelsea, who will observe that Bella is beautiful.
The two women will try to converse, but it will be a bit awkward. They’ll figure out in conversation that each of them will be staying in Genoa City, so they’ll probably be running into each other a lot. Chelsea will admit that she’s made a lot of mistakes, including hitting Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) over the head and fleeing, and that she didn’t even lose a child. She’ll say that she understands why Chloe wanted Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) dead.
Chloe will think that she doesn’t deserve forgiveness for the things she did to Chelsea, and Chelsea will agree but will say that she’d like her friend back. They’ll embrace and Chelsea will join in the picnic, meeting Bella and having cupcakes and tea.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, September 2, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will arrive at Adam’s penthouse after being summoned there. Adam will be irked after reading the news about Chloe’s release and they’ll bicker about that for a bit. Michael will be feeling like he’s got the upper hand, and he’ll tell Adam that their working relationship is now over.
But Adam will say that he wouldn’t be so sure about that. Adam will remark that he’s been expecting this from Michael for some time. Michael will say that Adam no longer has a hold over him and he’ll head for the door when Adam suddenly asks how his son is doing these days. This will stop Michael in his tracks.
Adam will then proceed to show Michael a photo of Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) partying and accepting cash for drugs. Adam will needle a stunned Michael about this development, and Michael will lash out angrily at Adam. Adam will then tell Michael that this took place in Oklahoma, where the average sentencing for dealing is eight years in the state pen.
Michael will realize that he’s caught and will ask Adam what he wants from him. Adam will say that he wants nothing at the moment, but he just wants Michael to be aware that “the little bit of time that the knife wasn’t at your throat was because I was sharpening it.”
Michael will then find Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) at Crimson Lights, and he’ll wonder if she’s heard from Fen lately, and he’ll proceed to tell her she’s going to pay him an impromptu visit. Lauren won’t like the look in Michael’s eyes and she’ll demand to know what’s going on, and Michael will tell her that Fen is using again and that Adam has photos.
Lauren will be furious that Adam is using Fen’s addiction as blackmail material, and Michael will apologize for being arrogant enough to think he could take Adam on alone. Lauren will say that when she gets back from seeing Fen, they’ll take down Adam together.
Finally, Billy will awaken from his tranquilizer-induced slumber in the boathouse. All alone, he’ll slowly come to, look at his splint, and wonder where he is.
