The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the recent feelings Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) expressed about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) were revealing. Stating that she’s become aware of a side of him that others aren’t aware of was striking. In effect, Phyllis has become at least a defender of this recast character.
Phyllis initially attached herself to Y&R’s recast villain for a strategic purpose. She wanted to work against him and succeeded in selling back properties that Newman Enterprises lost due to Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) Dark Horse efforts. That came after Phyllis’ return from Las Vegas, Nevada, where she learned that Adam had some type of connection to Chance Chancellor (as last played by John Driscoll).
Adam learned that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was alive. He went to the Ranch and confronted his dad, but also acquiesced, as did the Moustache. The brilliant scenes between Grossman and Braeden signaled that all was not lost. The contentious battle that Adam and Victor have been fighting, arguably dating back to when Chris Engen (Adam) became the first adult recast of this character in 2008, seems ripe for a true turn.
Adam Newman Headed To Vegas And Morphed Back Into Spider
Adam’s choice to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin, return to Las Vegas, Nevada, and morph back to ‘Spider’ is intriguing. With Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) heading to Vegas in an attempt to locate Chance, Y&R’s viewers should soon gain more information about the mysterious link between Adam and the person who is said to be challenging Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will.
In late summer Adam told Victor that he would never see his real plan. That must make viewers wonder if Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) son realized the error of his ways and is trying to change by leaving town, or he’s purely recalculating.
Adam told Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) that the figurative knife never left his neck, but that he’d simply been sharpening the blade before applying new pressure to GC’s controlled District Attorney. So, it’s surely reasonable to believe that Adam was legitimately working through the stages of grief before learning that Victor was alive, decided it best to separate himself from all foes by going to Vegas, but will proceed with whatever the Chance-linked part of his plan is.
Could Phyllis Summers Actually Be Falling For Adam Newman?
Phyllis’ latest righteous indignation has her incensed that Summer Newman (Hunter King) was kept in the dark about Victor’s death hoax. That’s understandable. What’s not is if Phyllis actually is falling for Adam. That choice would be a questionable gamble, as longtime fans would surely be opposed to any such unthinkable pairing.
All of GC would be gripped if Phadam ever clicks romantically. That assumes Adam’s return from Vegas, which seems assured in the near future. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
