The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, September 19, tease that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will need assistance from an old friend. Y&R fans know Nikki and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) share a strong bond. Paul would do just about anything for Nikki, so that’s what she’ll be counting on in Thursday’s exciting episode.
Nikki will track Paul down and deliver an urgent request, which may have something to do with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) fake death. Some sort of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) trap is underway, so that may be where Paul comes in. There’s an investigation into Victor’s demise, but that’ll require more trickery since Victor isn’t dead at all.
Whether Nikki reveals the whole plan or not, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Paul could be useful. It’s tough to imagine Paul refusing to help Nikki in her time of need, so he may get roped into all this. Paul could land in a tight spot since he’s part of law enforcement, but at least catching a criminal seems to be the goal here – well, that and teaching Adam a lesson!
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will catch Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) off guard. Telling her the truth about the current scheme would be far too risky. It would also defeat the purpose of leaving Summer Newman (Hunter King) in the dark. Nick might surprise Phyllis by pointing the finger at Adam and leveling serious accusations about their father’s death. Phyllis might realize Nick knows more than she thought.
Then again, Nick might shock Phyllis by blaming her, too. He may argue that as Adam’s accomplice, she should be held responsible. Nick could vow to find out if Phyllis did anything to contribute to Victor’s demise. Of course, we know Phyllis hacked into Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) tablet for Adam, so Nick’s suspicions could bring concerns.
There’s even a chance Nick will show a phony vulnerable side instead and play nice with Phyllis. Based on Nick’s behavior lately, that might be the biggest shocker! Nick would just be manipulating Phyllis, but there’s a good possibility it would work. It’ll be interesting to see how Nick handles his ex on Thursday.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will meet up with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). They’ll put aside the will drama briefly to discuss Devon’s personal life. He’ll admit things are going well, especially with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). Devon will hope for a bright future, which is why he needs to shut down this will challenger ASAP.
Chance Chancellor is the top suspect at this point, but Devon and Jill will prepare for anything. They’ll be ready to defend Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy, but some huge surprises are brewing. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
