The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, November 5 Review - Connor's Nightmare - Phyllis Concerned With Nick's Politics

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, November 5, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will try to ask Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) about Simon Black’s (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) stay at the Grand Phoenix, but Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will come along and she’ll be forced to drop the subject. A bit later, Chelsea will get a call from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) saying that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) had a nightmare.

Adam will have been unable to calm Connor, so Chelsea will head over to Adam’s penthouse, leaving Nick with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) in the Grand Phoenix lobby. They’ll talk about Nick’s campaign a bit, and about the downside of Nick having the Newman name attached to him. Jack will think that Nick will prove he’s his own man.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will overhear the exchange and will approach clapping slowly and dramatically. She’ll remark that she loves watching her ex-husbands talking and making things happen in her hotel. Jack will then leave, and Nick will hang with Phyllis. He’ll wonder why Phyllis isn’t keen on him running for office, and she’ll say that she’s worried that politics will change him.

Phyllis will go on to say that Nick has spent his life not being his father, and that after a lifetime of blazing his own trail, she’s afraid it might be politics that ultimately turns him into his father. She’ll be a bit emotional about the whole thing, and Nick will promise her that he won’t become his father, at which point she’ll wish him luck and say that he definitely has her vote. They’ll hug, which Abby will witness, and afterwards she’ll warn Phyllis about not to even think about getting involved with Nick again.

Meanwhile, at Adam’s penthouse, Connor will run to Chelsea and she’ll play a little game with him to get him calmed down and back to bed. Adam will watch the whole thing and be impressed with Chelsea’s way with Connor. After Connor’s in bed, Adam will remark that she and Connor clearly need each other. She’ll explain that Connor knows her love for him is forever and unconditional, and that she’ll be there for him no matter what.

Chelsea will then wonder what may have caused Connor’s nightmare, and Adam will be at a loss. She’ll wonder aloud what it might have been, and as she’s doing so, she’ll realize that someone could have scared Connor and she’ll clearly be worried about Simon. Adam will wonder what she’s rambling about, and that if she’s thinking of someone in particular, then he needs to know about it.

But Chelsea will cover that she thinks it might be a video game that scared Connor, and Adam will advise that he’ll keep an eye out for anything that might upset their son. Chelsea will teach Adam the little game to use with Connor if he has another nightmare, then she’ll leave as Adam looks thoughtfully after her.

Chelsea will then return to Nick’s place and fill him in on what happened. Chelsea will relay that she believes Connor had a bad dream, but that Connor might have been pulling a fast one and manipulating her to get her over there for some more family time – after all, what kid doesn’t want his parents to be together? Nick will wonder whether that was coming from Connor or from Adam.

Finally, back at Adam’s penthouse, Adam will be sitting rehearsing the game that Chelsea taught him when Connor approaches and tells him that he likes it when mom is here. Adam will respond that he does, too, indicating that the manipulation Chelsea was feeling is coming from both Connor and Adam.
