The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 24 Review - Adam Records His Ruminations About Victor - Sharon Shows Up At Adam’s Door

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, September 24, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be dismayed to hear about Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) arrest from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). He will lament that he doesn’t know how he can live with himself knowing how he put his family in jeopardy. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will storm in the room, upset about Victoria’s arrest and how the whole plan to trap Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has worked out.

Later, Victoria will arrive, freshly out of jail, and the four of them – who have all been in on the plan for Victor to fake his death from the beginning – will debate whether to continue on with the ruse that Victor’s dead. Billy won’t like it, but he’ll agree to continue when Victoria insists that Adam will slip up in time.

Meanwhile, Adam will be alone at his penthouse and suffering greatly by what he believes he did to his father. He’ll read a news article about Victor’s death and lament that “this wasn’t supposed to happen” and that Victor wasn’t supposed to die. He’ll talk to himself, alternating between expressing regret and berating Victor. Y&R viewers will see various flashbacks to when Victor visited Adam as a boy, and Adam will tear up at the memories.

As he drinks, Adam will make a recording on his phone, as if he’s dictating a letter to the media, recounting the important (and negative) things that they left out of the news story. After recording for a while, he’ll toss the phone down and keep talking, saying that there was just one more move in the game for him, but that he didn’t want Victor gone. He’ll even look in the mirror a bit later and ask himself, “Is this really want you wanted, to kill your own father?”

Of course, whether Adam’s phone was still recording when he verbalized the part about killing his own father is an open question at this point. But if it was still recording, then it would certainly be incriminating and could help prove attempted murder. It will be interesting to see what happens with that recording going forward, who (if anyone) finds it, and whether that will ultimately be what brings Adam down.

Next, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will corner Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) at Crimson Lights, and she’ll be aghast about Victoria’s arrest. She’ll quickly realize that Rey thinks that the evidence against her was a set-up and that Adam is behind it. Sharon won’t be convinced, and she’ll defend Adam to Rey, telling Rey that Adam swore to her that this is not what he wanted. Rey won’t bend, and he’ll insist that Adam is dangerous and certainly had motive.

Ultimately, Rey will leave in frustration after telling Sharon that he’s still worried about her getting hurt by Adam and that she can’t change him. That will upset Sharon, but her next move will be to head to Adam’s penthouse. She’ll appear at his door as he’s upset and lamenting about what’s happened to Victor, and he’ll wonder why she’s there. She’ll respond, “because you need me.”

Of course, this is just a recipe for disaster for Sharon. If she offers Adam emotional support now and truly believes that he’s “changed,” and if she continues to alienate Rey by doing so, it’s going to hurt all the more when it’s finally revealed that Adam really did tamper with Victor’s medication. And by that time, it could be too late for her and Rey.
