The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 7, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will report Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) assault, which will lead to some drama for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). At Adam’s penthouse, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will arrive to take his statement. Adam will call for Nick’s arrest, but Rey will point out that he doesn’t have a witness.
After Adam corrects Rey and notes that he indeed has one, Sharon will appear and look horrified. Rey will be taken aback by this Sharon sighting as well, but he’ll simply want her to confirm she witnessed the assault. Once Rey’s gone, Adam will assure Sharon he didn’t set any of this up. She’ll rage at Adam for setting her world on fire and decide it’s time to bolt.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will stop Sharon from leaving. He’ll think Sharon needs to face the truth about their feelings and accept that he wants her. Sharon will bring up Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), but Adam will suggest she was a way to get to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
After Sharon insists she’s a better version of herself now, Adam will maintain that he’s what she’s wanted all along. However, Adam won’t be able to convince Sharon – at least not right now. She’ll tell Adam to stay out of her life as she rushes for the door.
At the coffeehouse, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be down to one name on her investor possibility list: Nick. At Nick’s house, he’ll talk to Chelsea about Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) bringing Connor into town tomorrow. Chelsea will be overwhelmed at the thought of telling Connor his dad’s alive. She’ll eventually decline an offer to eat with Nick and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so Nick will head out alone.
Later, Phyllis will show up and get into an argument with Chelsea. Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will assume Phyllis wants something from Nick. That’ll lead Phyllis to rant about Chelsea’s gold-digging tendencies. She’ll think Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) must’ve been an easy target for Chelsea, but Chelsea will suggest Calvin loved her despite her scars and flaws. She won’t think Phyllis has anyone like that in her life.
At Society, Nick will give Nikki updates on his park altercation. He’ll note that Adam made sure Sharon showed up to see it. Nikki won’t feel like Sharon’s capable of handling someone as manipulative as Adam. Talk will turn to Phyllis and her attempt to patch things up. Nikki will be suspicious of Phyllis’ motives, but Nick will truly believe all she wanted was a clean slate.
Next, Nick will discuss Chelsea, Connor and Christian Newman. He’ll learn Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) been fretting over the custody case, but he’ll promise some grandpa time with the boys soon. Once Phyllis struts in, she’ll speak with Nick about an investing opportunity. Nick will immediately shut the idea down, but he’ll feel confident Phyllis will find someone else.
Soon after, Nikki will express her gratitude over Phyllis’ gesture to Nick. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will vent about her need for capital and ask if Nikki’s interested. Nikki will smile and suggest Phyllis will just have to think of something. Once Nick returns home to Chelsea, he’ll explain what Phyllis was up to and assure her he just wants to concentrate on the boys.
At the Chancellor mansion, a desperate Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will seek answers. Once Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) gets in touch via text, he’ll text back a lie about being stuck at work. That’ll leave Billy to await a response from Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) or whoever is trying to reach him. He’ll just want to hear something from the other side.
Billy will still feel Delia’s presence there, so he’ll insist she should tell Daddy what to do. After Billy falls asleep, he’ll have a nightmare about Delia crying out as he tries to save her. When Billy wakes up, he’ll notice “stop Adam now” written on the wall. Billy will reply to another text from Victoria and let her know he’s making progress. He’ll tell Delia that he’s received her message loud and clear.
