The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and recap for Wednesday, June 5, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will want to get something straight with Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) brother. There’s a recommitment ceremony coming up, but Billy will contend that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) isn’t invited. Billy won’t want him raining on their parade, but Adam will have other ideas later.
In bed at the GCAC, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will talk about how much fun they had last night. Since Theo will want to take Summer out on a date, she’ll have the perfect event in mind. Theo will be attending the recommitment ceremony with Summer, but Y&R fans can expect some drama.
Before the party gets underway, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will meet up with Victoria, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). While they’re gathered at Nick’s house, Abby will pull Nikki aside to discuss Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She’ll bring Nikki up to speed on her concerns about Victor’s health.
Nikki will assure Abby that she’ll get to the bottom of this. Later, she’ll keep her promise. Before Nikki arrives at Newman Enterprises, Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will be irritated with his patient. He’ll insist Victor should’ve had his first treatment at the hospital, but Victor would prefer to keep a low profile.
Nate will urge Victor to fill his family in, but Victor will choose to stay quiet for the time being. He’ll contend that if all goes well, no one will ever have to know. However, Nikki will corner Victor afterward and refuse to let this go. She’ll finally pry the truth out of Victor, so he’ll share his rare blood disease diagnosis. It’s a life-threatening illness, but Victor will assure Nikki that he’s hopeful about the future.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will want to make things right with Adam. Nikki will encourage Victor to tell all his kids, but that’s not a step he’s willing to take yet. At the tack house, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) will tell Adam she’s rejecting his offer. She’ll determine this is about getting custody of Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), so even Phyllis will think that’s a low blow.
Adam will keep preying on Phyllis’ vengeful desires, but she’ll point out that she knows it’s manipulation. Nevertheless, Phyllis will ultimately be interested in what Adam has in mind for the Abbotts and Newmans. At Society, Nick will scold Summer for letting Theo tag along as her date. This was supposed to be a small family event, but Summer will brush it off as nothing.
After all the guests arrive, Billy and Victoria will begin their sweet vows. They’ll share a kiss before two party crashers shake up the gathering. Of course, we’re talking about Adam and Phyllis.
Once Phyllis starts yelling about the big finish, Billy will step over to confront her. He won’t know what happened to the woman he used to know, but Phyllis will fire back that she’s rising from the ashes.
Billy will snarl at Phyllis to get out while Theo and Summer wonder what’s up. They’ll be perplexed by Phyllis’ entrance with Adam. Speaking of Adam, he’ll face off with Victor nearby. Vic will feel like Adam’s acting ungrateful after everything he’s done for him, but Adam won’t think his father’s done enough.
Nick will be furious when Adam says hello to Christian. He’ll send the kid out, but Adam will maintain that his son will wind up with him. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will finally get in the middle of their argument and push Adam to leave.
Back with Phyllis, she’ll get a lecture from Summer about her behavior. Phyllis will think it’s ridiculous for Summer to side with the Abbotts after the way Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) treated her. She’ll wonder who will be there for Summer after she inevitably gets burned by Jack and Billy? Nick will pipe up that he’s got it covered, so Phyllis will exit and reconvene with Adam.
As you might expect, all the showdowns will rev up Phyllis craving for revenge. She’ll tell Adam she’s in, so their alliance is indeed moving forward. Back with Victoria and Billy, they’ll try to enjoy what’s left of their party. After sharing a toast, Billy will let Victoria know he booked a little trip for them.
Over with Nikki, The Young and the Restless spoilers say she’ll reassure Abby about Victor’s health. In the kitchen, Kyle will squeeze in a few moments with Lola. Once they chat about “Villy’s” enduring love, Kyle will tie a makeshift paper ring on Lola’s finger. He’ll vow that no one’s going to come between them again and ask Lola to marry him.
