The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, November 20 Review - Billy Quits Jabot - Simon To Expose Chelsea’s Money Laundering

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, November 20, teases that things are getting exciting on the CBS drama. But before we get to that, we have a programming note to pass along. There are impeachment hearings scheduled for Wednesday, so there’s a chance that Wednesday’s episode will be pre-empted. But in the event the show airs on Wednesday, here’s what you can expect.

First off, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will head to the jail to visit with Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise). Nick will get all tough with an amused Simon and tell him that his business with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is over and that he won’t be giving the authorities any additional information about Chelsea and her connection to Calvin Boudreau’s (John Burke) money.

Nick will also tell Simon that he’s aware of the guy that Simon has watching the house, and that Simon will call the guy off. Further, Nick will threaten to use Newman resources to go after Simon if he persists against Chelsea. Simon will calmly assure Nick that he’s done with Chelsea. But later, after finagling a cell phone from a guard, Simon will call his lawyer and say that he wants a meeting with the Feds, as he’s got information that they’d be interested in…about Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers).

Now, Colin is a known money launderer, so is Simon going to give up information that would harm Chelsea here? It’s quite possible that Chelsea’s late husband Calvin and Colin were connected through Simon, and if anything that Simon is going to say has to do with the dirty money Chelsea was laundering, then Simon’s about to break the promise he made to Nick. But something tells us that Simon’s not really afraid of Nick.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, November 20, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a rough day. He’ll get a visit from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at the Abbott estate. Billy will be resolutely calm, and he’ll tell Jack that he can’t continue at Jabot as is. Jack will think that he wants Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to be demoted, but Billy will go on to explain that heading a cosmetics company isn’t want he wants anymore, so he’s resigning effective immediately.

Jack will be shocked, and Billy will explain that he’s come to this decision based on things he’s learned in therapy. Ultimately, he’ll agree to stay on the board, but he’ll walk away from the day-to-day running of the company. Jack will remain stunned but will be happy for his brother. Later, Jack will talk to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about the development and share his feelings about the matter.

Jack will then get a text from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) saying that she’s making preparations for Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) to join her in Paris, and that “he told you he accepted, right?” Jack will blow up in frustration and lament that now he’ll never get to know Theo. Traci will talk him down a bit and remark that he’s had a lot of news for one day, and she’ll wonder what he’s going to do about it. Jack will look perplexed.

Finally, Nick and Chelsea will address some of the issues they’ve been dealing with lately. After his visit with Simon, Nick will assure Chelsea that Simon’s out of their lives for good. She’ll suggest that they try to get back to normal with a bottle of wine and a fire, but Nick won’t think that’s going to work right now, and that they need to talk about the trust issues between them.

Nick will note that he didn’t confide in her about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) death ruse, and that she didn’t tell him about Calvin’s dirty money. They’ll realize that they engage in a pattern of behavior where they’re not honest and then end up blindsiding each other. They’ll make a pact to always be transparent and honest with each other from here on out.

And just when they’re starting to get close, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will call after having a nightmare. Chelsea will have to go, and Nick will head to Society where he’ll saddle up to the bar right next to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis will note that he could be doing a million things, but he ended up alone at a bar, just like her.
