Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a new cast photo offers some hints about the show’s future. A picture’s worth a thousand words, as they say! EW revealed DOOL’s 55th anniversary cast pic, which required some photoshop trickery. It wasn’t possible to get everyone in the same room due to pandemic-related safety precautions, but the photo still turned out great.
As a workaround, the show just did smaller photoshoots and placed the pics strategically so it’d look like they were all together. The interesting part is the clusters the actors were placed in. Days grouped certain people to tie in with their stories and overall direction for what’s next.
For the most part, actors were paired up with their onscreen love interests for the photo. There were all the usual suspects like Drake Hogestyn (John Black) sitting with Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) – as well as Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson) standing right by Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady).
However, it’s the paired-up actors who aren’t currently in a love story together that spill secrets! In other words, next to each other in the pic equals potential onscreen couple. With that in mind, let’s talk about five hot new couples this photo leaks.
1) Nicole and Rafe
The one that jumps out immediately is Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), which seems to be the couple Days writers have in mind. Zucker has her hand on Gering’s shoulder in the picture – seemingly promoting this upcoming Rafe and Nicole pairing. It was bound to happen with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) off canvas indefinitely!
2) Jake and Gabi
If you had any doubts or concerns about Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) not ending up together, you can put them out of your head. Banus and Barash got a cozy photoshoot to usher in Gabi and Jake’s steamy new romance.
3) Philip and Chloe
OK, so it’s not exactly a shocker that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) are going to reunite, but it’s still worth mentioning for all the “Phloe” fans who are patiently waiting.
Bjorlin and Johnson struck a couple-y pose in the pic, so Chloe and Philip should be back on down the road. This obviously isn’t a brand-new duo, but Philip and Chloe should get a new beginning!
4) Kate and Roman
Could Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) be headed for a new beginning of their own? Lauren Koslow is standing front and center with Josh Taylor – not anywhere near James Reynolds (Abe Carver) or Barash.
Kate’s potential romance with Abe was apparently ditched and her fling with Jake will be brief. Maybe Days of Our Lives will give Roman and Kate another shot.
5) Tripp and Allie
It’s also worth noting that Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton) is right next to Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton), which feels like a massive story clue. There’s seemingly no way Tripp is Allie’s rapist based on this photo placement. Instead, we’re betting Tripp’s name will be cleared and love will bloom with apologetic Allie in the aftermath.
