Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) pregnancy has everyone in a tizzy. As is stands, Allie wants Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to adopt her baby, while Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) would rather that the adoptive parents be them. And then there’s Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), who for a hot minute wanted Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to adopt Allie’s baby.
And throughout all of the clamoring about what Allie’s going to do about the pregnancy and who’s going to get the baby after it’s born, a couple of important details have gone by the wayside on the show.
First, there’s the issue of the father of the baby. Allie has been very reluctant to discuss who the father is, yet she nearly opened up to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) at one point about some issue with the baby’s father.
Unfortunately, though, Allie and Nicole got interrupted and never finished that conversation. And ever since, Allie has refused to discuss the father and where he is now, or even if he knows about the pregnancy.
Then there’s another issue…Allie’s due date. Has Allie been receiving prenatal care at all? Given that she’s been hiding the pregnancy from her parents for what appears to be a few months, it’s likely that she hasn’t received solid prenatal care.
And if that’s the case, then Allie may not be 100% clear on when her due date is, or how far along she actually is. The DOOL summer preview showed Allie giving birth sometime this summer, yet when Allie and Rafe talked just recently about the possibility of Rafe adopting her baby, Allie mentioned that Rafe had a long time to think about it.
Could it be that Allie is going to go into labor much sooner than she expects to?
Maybe this will be one of those situations in which Allie is farther along than she really thinks. And if that’s the case, then it’s always possible that the father of the baby is someone different than she originally thinks.
Might Allie be in for a big surprise when she finally goes in for a checkup and is told that she’s going to give birth sooner than she expected? That could throw a whole new wrinkle into the story.
We’ll see what happens here, but it seems like something’s up, since Allie is going to give birth this summer, yet she doesn’t seem to be acting like she’s expecting a baby so soon. And if Allie is off about her approximate due date, then the father of her baby could be someone other than who she now thinks it is.
