Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) upcoming release will leave Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) with plenty of concerns. Despite Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) approval on this, Ciara will naturally be wary. After all, Claire tried to kill Ciara in a jealous rage before she wrapped up her last stint!
However, the true end of that stint left things on a hopeful note. Claire realized she needed help and wanted to get it. Now that Claire’s put the work in, she wants to go home and make amends. Olivia Rose Keegan confirmed that Claire’s motives are genuine in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Since Claire has changed and actually has good intentions, many Days fans may be wondering where this story’s going. There still has to be a reason for Claire’s release. Unfortunately, there’s a good chance Claire’s attempt to make things right will land her right back at Bayview!
We know Keegan filmed about two and a half months of episodes, so keep that in mind. Here’s our best prediction on what you can expect between now and Claire’s next exit.
For starters, we should note that Claire will be obsessed with Ciara’s wedding to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) – but again, it’s not in a creepy, “I want to target it” sort of way. Claire truly wants to lend a helping hand.
However, Claire has told her Bayview gal pal, Gwen (Emily O’Brien), all about what happened with Ciara. Claire will also show Gwen the save-the-date card – further cementing this Claire, Gwen and Ciara connection. Days tends to link several stories together, which is what they’re doing here.
Gwen is Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) sneaky ex-girlfriend, and that’s another important story element to consider. Crazy Gwen could’ve popped up anywhere, but DOOL chose to make her Claire’s new bestie at Bayview. That’s clearly significant as we build toward some shockers.
So let’s talk about how everything might come together. Although Claire will work hard to win Ciara over, her plan may not work. Days recently released a promo that showed a clear shot of the guests at Ben and Ciara’s ceremony. Sadly, it doesn’t look like Claire will attend.
That’s odd considering Claire’s fixation on the “Cin” wedding. There must be some good reasons for Claire to miss it. One might involve Ciara banning Claire from the church! Of course, the deeper reason would be so that Claire can accused of whatever goes down. A fire would be the most likely option considering Claire’s background.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say a funeral will follow Ben and Ciara’s wedding. Since Ben will likely be presumed dead in this wedding disaster, it’s the perfect opportunity for Ciara to point the finger at Claire. Naturally, Claire should be innocent since Keegan herself confirmed her character’s truly turned her life around.
That brings us back to that Gwen connection. Why show Gwen gazing at the save-the-date card? Why make her part of Claire’s wedding obsession story? We’d say all that’s happening so Gwen can be behind the wedding drama. Jake will seemingly accompany Gabi to the ceremony, so Gwen would have a motive to go after them.
Based on the timing of when Claire leaves again, that allows some time for Claire to proclaim her innocence and spar with her loved ones. Unfortunately, who’s going to believe Claire – a previously deranged arsonist who’s gone after Ciara before?
That’s especially true if Ciara and Claire have a big fight beforehand, which sets up Claire not being allowed at the wedding.
Unless Claire can clear her name, she may be sent back to Bayview. A heartbroken Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) might assume the worst and worry that Claire’s beyond all hope. Poor Claire may be locked up again until the whole truth comes out.
If Claire is able to put the blame on Gwen where it presumably belongs, she might go back to Hong Kong with her parents. Regardless, Claire’s return is only temporary and may end on a rather somber note. DOOL spoilers say Olivia Rose Keegan will depart the role of Claire again by mid-August.
