Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) is a character who always seems to cause quite a debate. Some DOOL fans can’t get past the horrible things Gabi’s done. Others are quick to point out that horrible things have also been done to Gabi!
Just look at the kidnapping nightmare Gabi’s facing right now. Some might say Gabi had it coming, but there are plenty of Days viewers who feel like Gabi’s suffered enough. Gabi was devastated after she lost Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), but her attempt to get him back has landed her in Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) jam.
Of course, Gabi’s grief over losing Stefan wasn’t the only painful ordeal Gabi went through. We can’t forget that Gabi suffered such a brutal beating behind bars that she lost the ability to have more children.
To make matters worse, Gabi wasn’t even supposed to be in prison at the time. She was locked up for a crime she didn’t commit – and now she’s once again facing unjust accusations.
We’re not giving Gabi a pass for things like forcing Lani Price (Sal Stowers) to dump Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) at the altar or trying to blow up Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) heart. There’s no doubt that Gabi’s made massive mistakes and hurt people terribly. Even so, it seems like Gabi’s been suffering for a while now.
Days of Our Lives has been making Gabi pay, even without a prison sentence. Isn’t Gabi due for some happiness at some point? Fortunately, Gabi should get off to a nice start once she’s rescued from her kidnappers. After that, Gabi’s name will ultimately be cleared – another step toward the happiness Gabi’s seeking.
It’ll be proven that Gabi wasn’t the one who drugged Abigail DiMera (Kate Mans), so Gabi will at least have her freedom. What about Stefan? Will Gabi get the love of her life back?
There’s a good chance Jake is really Stefan, so Gabi should get her wish down the road. It may take time for Stefan to recover his memories, but Gabi might get with Jake in the meantime.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) will bring some extra hurdles, but we do know Gabi and Jake will sit together at Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) wedding. That’s obviously a positive sign.
If Days keeps building on this, maybe they could right another wrong. We mentioned that Gabi lost the ability to have more children, so perhaps DOOL should undo that and give Gabi a miracle. Does Gabi deserve some baby bliss after this Jake nightmare’s over? It would certainly be sweet to see Stefan and Gabi start a “Stabi” family.
