General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may be stuck in Steinmauer for the moment, but she won’t stay there forever!
All signs point to Nina coming home to stunning developments after the Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) case brings some curveballs.
GH fans will recall that the WSB came after Nina over Brennan’s wallet, which Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) planted in her vehicle.
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) also pointed the finger at Nina since she publicly threatened Brennan at the Metro Court Gardens.
Nina was horrified when she was sent to Steinmauer, but her time off-screen is serving some important purposes.
For starters, it’s giving Cynthis Watros a nice little break, so she can hopefully come back refreshed and ready to play more drama for Nina.
Of course, this has also created a situation where Willow doesn’t have Nina to guide her and show support.
Nina isn’t around to protect Willow anymore, so it’s not surprising that Willow is latching onto Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) as her biggest cheerleader instead.
It’s not like Willow typically listens to Nina on any given day, but at least her mom knew all her horrible transgressions and loved her anyway.
Chase only loves the perfect version of Willow that he’s created in his head!
Unfortunately, no one’s been able to get Chase to see the truth about Willow just yet, but that day has to be coming sooner or later.
Until then, Chase will keep pushing Willow to run with this libel lawsuit and take down Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) along with The Invader.
Nina may hear about that article while she’s locked up since Lulu implied that Willow might’ve drugged Brennan, too.
In reality, it was Nina who accidentally dosed Brennan with that paralytic in Drew’s living room.
Nevertheless, Nina might be accused of wiping Brennan off the map to silence him because of what Willow did.
Perhaps Nina could even be accused of covering for Willow if the WSB starts to believe her daughter killed Brennan instead.
Regardless, a major break in the Brennan investigation is brewing that could steer attention away from the mother-daughter duo.
That’s because a “C” bracelet is attached to Brennan’s body, which is buried on the nature preserve near the Quartermaine property.
Brennan’s corpse will eventually be discovered along with that bracelet, which will probably make Carly the prime suspect in the case.
Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) is the actual bracelet owner, but that “C” initial seems poised to create problems for Carly while Charlotte is off at boarding school in Maine.
This could be enough to ensure Nina’s freedom from Steinmauer and finally get her back home to Port Charles, where she’ll surely get tangled up in more of Willow’s messes.
General Hospital spoilers suggest the discovery of Brennan’s body may bring big news that changes everything, so stay tuned.
