Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will have another vision of Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) as he helps trim the Horton free at Christmas. Ben will hang his own ornament along with Ciara’s, but that’ll bring some difficult moments.
As Ben struggles with the task of hanging Ciara’s ornament alone, Ciara will appear behind Ben and insist they can do it together.
Of course, this Days return is bittersweet for “Cin” fans since Ciara will only be back in fantasy form, but it’s better than nothing! Even so, we have to point out that all these Ciara hallucinations may not be good for Ben. There have been scenes where Ben’s had a hard time distinguishing fantasy from reality.
It’s clear that Ciara’s death and all the uncertainty surrounding it have taken a mental toll on Ben. That’s understandable considering everything Ben’s been through.
Ben thought he was going to have his happily ever after with Ciara, but the end of their wedding brought a total DOOL disaster. Poor Ben was whisked away to undergo brainwashing – and was almost forced to kill his beloved new wife.
Although Ben thankfully beat that brainwashing and resisted the urge to kill Ciara, she still faced a grim fate at Vincent Belman’s (Michael Teh) hands. Vincent has played plenty of mind games and nearly drove Ben to his breaking point.
Although Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) pushed Ben to let Ciara go, that doesn’t seem like something he’s willing to do yet.
It certainly isn’t something Ben will do this holiday season since he’ll hallucinate Ciara once again. Although this should be a pretty heartwarming thing on the surface, it could set up bigger issues later. Will Ben’s Ciara visions persist? Is this something that could worsen over time and leave Ben fearful about a relapse?
This might be something Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) gets updates on in the months ahead. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben and Claire’s friendship will grow stronger, so Claire may be concerned about the lonely life Ben’s living.
He can’t keep living in this Ciara fantasy world, so Claire might take her worries to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and hope Ben can get more help.
Days of Our Lives may not do something as extreme as putting Ben back in Bayview, but more therapy with Marlena is clearly necessary. Does Ben need to let fantasy Ciara go?
It might be a crucial part of the story as we build to Ciara’s eventual return in the flesh. We’ll keep you posted as other Days news emerges.
DOOL viewers will see some tough times as Ben imagines Ciara and once again faces the crushing loss once she’s gone. For Ben to move forward and be reunited with the real Ciara one day, he may have to overcome these hallucinations and find a new path.
