Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) has been on the run ever since she buried Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) alive and pulled a gun on Lani Price (Sal Stowers). Sadly, turning that gun on Lani resulted in Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) getting shot and killed – at least that’s what everyone thought until Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) showed up in town.
Now Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) is convinced that Jake’s actually Stefan, but Vivian doesn’t seem to have a clue that Stefan might be alive. DOOL’s summer promo shows Vivian looking blown away when Jake walks in.
Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) hinted that someone else might’ve brought Stefan back from the dead, but it doesn’t seem to be Vivian.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say there are more casting shockers to come. DOOL fans can expect some comebacks and departures that haven’t been announced yet, so let’s consider a possible surprise return. Who else would have a motive to save Stefan’s life? Could it be Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera)?
If you’re wondering who Ivan is, we’ll refresh your memory or fill you in if you’re a newer viewer. Ivan started out as Lawrence Alamain’s (Michael Sabatino) manservant, but it was Vivian he was truly loyal to.
Since Ivan was madly in love with “Madame,” he helped Vivian get away with tons of schemes over the years. Ivan was obsessed with Vivian and would do anything for her.
After Ivan headed to India and became a huge success in the film industry there, he eventually returned for Vivian and offered her a starring role in his next big movie. Ivan was last seen in 2011, so Vivian seemingly moved on with her life and was focused on Stefan when she first brought him to Salem.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Ivan has forgotten about Vivian! Ivan could easily become a part of the action again, so let’s think about how Days could take this storyline. Did Ivan save Stefan without Vivian’s knowledge?
If so, Ivan might’ve wanted to please Vivian initially. Perhaps Ivan hoped Vivian would love him for reuniting her with her son. If the plan landed in someone else’s hands and Stefan somehow became Jake, that might’ve been something Ivan preferred to sweep under the rug.
Then again, perhaps Ivan resents having to play lackey on so many plots. What did Ivan really get out of it if he didn’t end up with Vivian? Maybe all the Jake drama is part of some elaborate revenge plan that still hasn’t been revealed.
However, it’s also possible Ivan will pop up to once again serve as Vivian’s helper. Vivian might’ve sought Ivan’s assistance while on the lam, which could still bring Ivan back to Days. Ivan was always loyal before, so DOOL might keep him in that trusty sidekick spot.
It just depends on how Days writers want to take the story, but Ivan could easily be tangled up in all this somehow. As other DOOL news rolls in, we’ll pass along more updates.
