Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will face a stunning medical crisis. During the week of August 17-21, John will keel over and lose consciousness. DOOL viewers can expect John’s startling collapse to come out of nowhere, so Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will definitely be concerned.
Thankfully, John will be rushed to the hospital soon after this incident. From there, John will be examined as his doctors work to get to the bottom of things. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marlena will eventually get some troubling updates. It turns out John will be in bad shape, so we have to consider what all this is about.
It’s no surprise that John’s having a crisis since one half of “Jarlena” always seems to be kidnapped or in the hospital! Marlena’s no stranger to danger either, but let’s focus on John here.
John’s storylines are almost always about action and adventure. He’s always rushing to Marlena’s rescue, getting abducted, drugged, beaten, finding a bomb, etc.
It would be incredibly weird for Days to do something boring like a stroke or another medical issue for John. We’d say there’s a much deeper reason for this collapse than any natural cause. That brings us to some big return news that might fit with John’s storyline.
Days spoilers say Eduardo Hernandez (A Martinez) will show up this month – and DOOL fans may recall that there’s an intriguing connection between John and Eduardo.
Both of them were once part of Winterthorne Academy, which was a training facility for assassins. Could John’s collapse be related to his time there?
Eduardo’s currently in prison, so it might even be a case where Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) visits him behind bars as he digs for answers. Then again, Eduardo might get out of prison and unleash this plot with his freedom.
Maybe Eduardo’s former employers will take this opportunity to go after him and anyone he’s been tied to in the past. John might even be used as some sort of grim message.
Regardless, John seems healthy and has honestly had even more pep in his step lately. Social media has had some laughs over just how exuberant John is in grandpa mode.
John’s had more energy than ever, so why would he keel over due to some health issue? It makes more sense for John to be poisoned as part of a mysterious plot, especially since all John’s stories are pretty wild.
