Kristian Alfonso’s Exit Announcement
DOOL comings and goings reveal that viewers were shocked when Alfonso shared on social media that she had left the NBC soap opera. She played the role of Hope Williams Brady for nearly 40 years.
When people see her face, they instantly think “Days” and nobody ever thought she would leave. So, her announcement came as a total shock to everyone.
DOOL Comings and Goings: Hope Brady’s Final Episode Date
It was previously speculated that the last time we will see Hope on-screen is in mid-October. Those estimates were pretty accurate. Days of Our Lives: Past, Present and Future, as well as Soap Opera News have confirmed her final episode will air on October 14, 2020.
However, don’t expect a real exit story like Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) or others that have left. Apparently, Alfonso just decided to leave the set with open scripts, then the pandemic shut down production and she just decided not to go back.
That means her scripted stories were not finished, so writers will have to come up with a way to explain her suddenly disappearing.
Will Hope Brady Character Be Recast?
Days of Our Lives comings and goings spoilers don’t reveal if Hope will be recast or not. Executive producer Ken Corday previously said that the door was always open for her to come back.
Even though Alfonso said that she will not be one of the people who returns to the soap later on, only time will tell. We’ve definitely heard actors say that before, then they change their minds.

One possible way writers might explain Hope’s absence is with Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) disappearance. Even though she was presumed dead, Hope believes that she is still alive and wasn’t in the car when it exploded.
Plus, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) has been having dreams about “Cin.” We know that Ben and Hope track down her kidnapper, so perhaps Hope will leave Salem to search for her daughter? We will have to keep watching to find out.
