Days of Our Lives (DOOL) exclusive spoilers reveal that some major casting info has surfaced – and it involves the return of Abigail DiMera. DOOL fans know Kate Mansi wrapped her latest stint at the end of May. It turns out Abigail’s coming back according to multiple insiders and strong buzz, but it’ll be Marci Miller who reprises the role instead of Mansi.
When Mansi left Days of Our Lives, there were reports of the character returning down the road. However, Mansi’s exit interview with Soap Opera Digest made her departure seem pretty final. “I accomplished exactly what I set out to do, which was go back for a specific amount of time to tell a story,” Mansi said.
Now that Mansi has completed that chapter, it’s time for Miller to step back in for a new chapter of her own. That lines up with Billy Flynn remaining in the role of Chad DiMera. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will return during the week of June 22-26 for Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) upcoming trial.
There’s no word yet on when Miller’s first airdate back will be, but it does look like she filmed before the studio shutdown. Miller’s version of Abigail is quite different from Mansi’s, but she made the role her own during her previous run.
We have no doubt that Miller can do it again – and fans of her version will certainly give her a warm welcome back!
Miller’s featured in a new video on the DOOL app, which further backs up all the buzz we’re hearing. Days of Our Lives stars like Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip Kiriakis) made appearances on the DOOL app as well – and now he’s headed back to the main show.
Bottom line, you can expect Marci Miller to return as Abigail based on reliable secret spillage. It should be fun to see Miller again and have Abigail back in Salem where she belongs.
