Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, June 29 Recap - Gabi Not Guilty, Brawls With Gwen - Lani’s Mom Faints At The Wedding

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, June 29, reveal that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) walked into the DiMera mansion to tell Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) verdict was in. Chad needled Rafe about Gabi being guilty, but Rafe said that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) basically admitted that he set Gabi up. Chad didn’t buy any of it, and he told Rafe that Gabi was probably off pestering Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash).

At Jake’s garage, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) told Gabi that Jake wasn’t her husband. Gabi said that soon she’d have proof that Jake is Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) because she was having a DNA test run. That was news to Jake, and it seemed to worry Gwen a little, who promptly kissed Jake’s neck to rattle Gabi.

Gwen insisted that Jake was her boyfriend, but Jake said, “it’s complicated,” and walked away. A catfight between Gabi and Gwen ensued, with Gabi slapping Gwen and Gwen rushing Gabi.

Suddenly Rafe arrived, and he and Jake broke up the squabble. Rafe took one look at Jake and said, “Oh my God.” Jake said that yes, he knows that he looks like Gabi’s dead husband.

Rafe told Gabi that her verdict was in and that they needed to go. Rafe and Gabi took off, and off-screen, Jake told Gwen about why Gabi was on trial. Gwen hoped that Gabi would go to prison so she wouldn’t bother them anymore. Jake looked conflicted.

At the Hernandez house, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) were taking pictures when Eli’s FBI mentor Billy (Billy Davis, Jr.) arrived, surprising Eli.

Turns out, Billy and Valerie are now a couple, and Valerie invited Billy as her date to the wedding. Eli was surprised, but he told his mom that he was happy that she found someone that made her happy.

At Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s apartment, Lani was thrilled to see Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) at the door. Kristen, who was disguised in a nun’s habit, had come back to wish Lani well on her wedding day.

Kristen said that she was happy and that being a mother to Rachel Black was more wonderful than she ever dreamed. Through their conversation, Lani revealed that she was pregnant, and Kristen was thrilled.

Lani shared some of her fears about her pregnancy with Kristen, and Kristen offered Lani words of encouragement and love. Kristen then helped Lani get ready for her wedding, giving her a cross necklace as something new, and Rachel’s baby rattle as something borrowed. Lani and Kristen declared themselves to be friends for life and hugged happily.

In the park, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) disconnected from a call with his son when Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) walked up. Brady noticed that Marlena was all dressed up, and she revealed that she was officiating at Eli and Lani’s wedding.

Off-screen, Brady told Marlena about how Eli saved him from implicating himself again for Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) stabbing, and about how he had planned to ruin Titan.

At Julie’s Place, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) walked in, only to be bossed around by Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and put to work folding napkins for the wedding. Abe obliged after politely telling Julie that she was being a bit overbearing.

Julie stepped out of the room and Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) walked into the restaurant, sharing a warm reunion with Abe. Julie returned and talked with Tamara while Abe took a phone call.

Tamara and Julie talked a bit, with Tamara encouraging Julie to relax and enjoy the day, even if the napkins were a little messy. “I heard that!” Abe said from across the room. Soon, Marlena walked in and had a nice reunion with her good friend Tamara.

Eli, Valerie, and Billy soon arrived, and Julie and Eli shared a moment together. Julie mentioned Eli’s father, and Eli said that he was sure that his father was with them today.

In town square, Rafe and Gabi rushed in the direction of the courthouse. Chad caught them and needled Gabi about going to jail soon. Rafe told Chad that was enough, and Rafe and Gabi hurried off to court.

Back at Lani and Eli’s place, Lani got a text from Abe saying that he was on his way up to get her for the wedding. Lani was now dressed in her gown and Kristen was back in her nun’s habit ready to leave.

Lani and Kristen shared a warm embrace and Kristen took off. Abe arrived shortly thereafter and he and Lani shared a few touching father/daughter moments together before they left for Julie’s Place.

Back in the park, Brady sat looking at photos of himself and Kristen on his phone. “God, I miss you and love you so much,” Brady said to himself. Kristen lurked off to the side and watched Brady.

Kristen almost went to Brady, then walked away, but Brady caught her out of the corner of his eye. “Kristen? Is that you?” Brady said.

Outside of Julie’s Place, Abe and Lani arrived. Marlena walked up, saying that Lani looked beautiful. Marlena went inside to tell everyone that they were ready to begin. Abe told Lani that everything would be perfect.

Inside Julie’s Place, Marlena said that everyone was ready, and the wedding march began. Lani and Abe walked in the door and everyone was happy as Lani approached Eli at the altar.

Eli beamed when he saw Lani. Marlena started the ceremony, but suddenly Tamara fell ill and collapsed to the floor. “Oh my God, Mom, are you ok?” Lani cried out.

Finally, back in town square, a reporter pursued an upset Chad wanting to know his reaction to Gabi’s verdict. “No comment,” Chad said tersely. Gabi then rushed over, saying, “Oh, you have nothing to say about the fact that I was completely and totally exonerated?”
