Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview teases that viewers will be in for a big week that will involve some decisions on the part of Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold). As DOOL viewers know, Allie is pregnant, and she’s got to get some things sorted out in pretty quick order. And the new DOOL preview promo for the week of June 22 is all about Allie and what she’s going to do about her baby.
Allie recently told Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) that she was going to continue with the pregnancy. But during the week of June 22, some things will happen to make Allie realize that having a baby on her own will be a whole lot of work.
According to DOOL spoilers, after a visit with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), Allie will start thinking about whether she should put her baby up for adoption.
It seems that Will and Sonny will share some things that they’ve been going through with their daughter Ari Horton (Sydney Brower), and it will suddenly dawn on Allie that she’ll soon have a baby on her hands…and that it’ll be a lot of work.
In new DOOL promo, Allie confidently tells Nicole and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) that she’s decided to give her baby up for adoption.
Well, from here, it looks like Will and Sonny will start to get the impression that they could adopt Allie’s baby, as they’re shown in the promo looking happy and talking about possibly being daddies again soon. But it seems that Allie may have other things in mind for her her baby.
According to DOOL spoilers, Allie will visit with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and she’ll start to feel bad for his recent loss of David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends). Allie and Rafe have been close for many years, and they’re shown in the weekly preview catching up in town square and hugging happily.
Rafe will support Allie in her time of need, and it looks like Allie will get an idea that she’d like to let Rafe adopt her baby.
And while all this is going on, the new Days weekly preview throws in another wrinkle, and that’s Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), who’s shown asking Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), “What if I could give you another baby?”
Now, whether he’s really talking about Allie’s baby here remains to be seen – Xander could very well be talking about he and Sarah having a biological child of their own. Whatever the case, we can only imagine that Sarah will balk at this.
But back to Allie, the promo concludes with Allie informing her dad Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) that she’s made her decision. Lucas looks distraught by this, and that’s probably because Days of Our Lives spoilers say that he’s not going to be happy that Allie has decided to give her baby up for adoption.
Apparently, Lucas is going to push for Allie to raise the baby herself, pointing out that he’ll help her all the way.
But Allie seems pretty headstrong, so it’s doubtful that she’ll be deterred from her decision once she’s made it – and it sounds like it’s Rafe that she’ll at least initially think should have her baby.
Of course, whether that’s what Rafe really wants right now remains to be seen – he might just want some time to cope with the loss of David before he thinks about being a dad again.
At any rate, it seems that we’ll see movement on the baby storyline this week on Days of Our Lives, but an open question at this point – and something that the promo does not address – is the issue of who the father of Allie’s baby is.
Allie was about to open up to Nicole about the subject when they got interrupted, but perhaps we’ll get some more details on that in the coming days.
