Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that once Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) leaves with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) on August 28, some big story changes should be coming. The Hernandez siblings will come back on canvas this fall, so DOOL will have to turn things around for them. Let’s put Rafe aside and focus on Gabi for a moment. What will ultimately bring Gabi back to town?
Gabi’s daughter, Arianna Horton (Sydney Brower), should be living with Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) by then. The logical thing to do would be to move to Phoenix and be near Ari, but Days can’t do the logical thing – not when they’re bringing Gabi back on screen!
That means they’ll have give Gabi some good reasons to plant roots in Salem again rather than joining her daughter. Gabi might be tempted to pursue a romance with Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and pick back up the DiMera fight, but Days has the opportunity for a huge twist here.
Let’s consider what might happen in Gabi’s absence and upon her return.
Jake’s starting to think maybe the corporate life wouldn’t be so bad. Since it doesn’t take much effort for Jake and he can still be himself, he’s changing his perspective.
Jake even gloated about being the second coming of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), but what if a different Stefan O. DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) about to catch Jake off guard?
While Gabi’s off canvas, what if she happens to find her supposedly dead true love? Stefan could easily still be alive and out there somewhere. He might even be staying away to protect Gabi or could perhaps have some memory loss.
Whatever the case, Gabi might track Stefan down while she’s out of the picture and work all that out with a serum dose.
Just imagine Jake claiming the DiMera throne while Gabi’s gone. Can’t you envision Jake propping his feet up on the desk and reveling in his new kingdom? Since Jake views himself as the second coming of Stefano, Days of Our Lives could tie that in here.
Jake might gloat aloud about how he’s going to do big things for his father’s company – how Stefano’s back and better than ever! That’s when Stefan O. could appear and confirm, “Yes, he is.” Wouldn’t it be something to have Stefan and Gabi strut in like the powercouple they are?
It would also be fun to watch Barash play a dual role for a while – just like Deidre Hall sometimes plays both Marlena Evans and Hattie Adams. Barash would do a great job portraying both Jake and Stefan.
It’s certainly possible since Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) suggested someone besides him might’ve brought Stefan back from the dead.
