Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, December 10 Recap - Steve & Kayla Bring Joey Great News - Bonnie Gets Even With Justin

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 10, reveal that Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) stood in town square as she talked with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) via phone about their upcoming date. Bonnie said that she’d like to go to Julie’s Place, and she and Justin agreed to meet there.

Over at Julie’s Place, Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) was on the phone with Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) making a plan for a rendezvous, when Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) walked up and overheard. “Propositioning my husband?” Jennifer asked.

Kate balked, saying that she wasn’t talking to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Jennifer didn’t buy it, and Kate took off.

Bonnie arrived and talked with Jennifer about what she heard Kate saying on the phone. Bonnie wondered if Jennifer still didn’t trust Jack. Jennifer said no, and that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) had recently pointed out that she’ll always wonder if Jack was cheating.

Jennifer soon took off, and Bonnie waited on Justin to arrive for their date.

Over at the DiMera mansion, Jack was drinking when Gwen arrived and apologized for being rude at the park earlier. Jack lamented to Gwen about his problems with Jennifer, and Gwen lied and said that she saw Jennifer earlier and told her to try to forgive him. Jack was thankful.

Kate walked in and Jack hurriedly left. When Gwen tried to slip out, Kate stopped her, wanting to talk about what Gwen knew about her and Jake. “Jake said that you saw us kissing and that you wouldn’t say anything, but I don’t trust you,” Kate said.

Gwen said that she’d keep her mouth shut, but Kate said that she didn’t fall for Gwen’s act and that that Gwen clearly wanted something.

Kate wondered if Gwen was after Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) since she couldn’t have Jake. Gwen said that Chad was married to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and that she wouldn’t betray Abigail.

Kate didn’t buy it, and Gwen said that she’d keep Jake and Kate’s secret…unless Kate crossed her.

Jack returned to find Kate alone, and he went to leave, saying he didn’t feel comfortable being alone with her. “I owe it to Jennifer to keep my distance from you,” Jack said, and then he mentioned that Gwen tried to put in a good word for him with Jennifer.

Kate told Jack to be careful of Gwen, but when Jack pressed for a reason, Kate said it didn’t matter.

At the Salem PD, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) talked with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams). Tripp thought that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) would come through for Ava, but Ava wasn’t so sure.

Ava blasted Kayla, saying that Kayla didn’t believe Tripp’s word when it came to the rape allegation, and that Kayla might not follow through and keep her out of prison.

Over at Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla’s place, Steve ended a call and told Kayla that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) was on her way to the police station.

Kayla said that Steve should go ahead without her, and Steve got agitated and left in a huff, saying that he’d take care of explaining everything to Trask on his own.

Meanwhile, Kayla went to the Kiriakis mansion and tracked down Justin, saying that she needed a lawyer for Joey Johnson (James Lastovic).

Back at the Salem PD, Steve walked into the interrogation room alone, and Ava immediately jumped to the conclusion that Kayla was hanging her out to dry. Suddenly, Kayla walked in, saying that she just wanted to get a lawyer to protect Joey’s interests.

Trask and Justin walked in, and Trask said that she wasn’t inclined to favor a deal, but that she’d listen.

Steve and Tripp exited the room, while Justin, Kayla, and Ava presented the deal to Trask in the interrogation room.

Steve asked Tripp how he was handling the fact that his mother was alive, and he said that he always wondered what it would be like to know his mom, and that he was finally getting the chance. “I don’t want to lose her again,” Tripp said.

Soon, Ava, Kayla, and Justin came out of the interrogation room saying that they persuaded Trask to take the deal. Steve and Kayla were thrilled for Joey, and Steve apologized to Kayla for rushing out so quickly earlier.

Justin took off for his date with Bonnie, and Tripp said he’d meet Steve and Kayla at home. Steve and Kayla shared a look, then Steve told Tripp about needing to move out.

Ava snipped at Kayla about not believing Tripp on the rape charges and not wanting to share her place with him, then she offered to let Tripp stay with her. Steve wasn’t ok with that, but Tripp said it was fine and he’d go with his mom. Ava and Tripp took off.

At the Horton house, Jennifer opened the door to Gwen, who brought handmade Christmas cards from the kids. Gwen said that she needed an excuse to get out of the house with all the things going on, then she pretended to get flustered.

Jennifer pressed the issue, and Gwen finally admitted that Kate and Jack were talking in the study and that she sensed they wanted to be alone.

Back at Julie’s Place, Bonnie called the Kiriakis mansion to find out where Justin was. Soon, Justin arrived late for their date, and Bonnie said that she heard that Justin had gone rushing off with Kayla.

Justin tried to get a word in edgewise and explain, but Bonnie was infuriated, and she said that she made other plans. Suddenly, one of the hunky guys from the other day walked in and left with Bonnie. Justin was incredulous.

At Ava’s apartment, Tripp and Ava arrived. Ava said that she hoped Tripp understood why she didn’t reach out the moment she was in Salem. Ava explained about seeing Tripp in the park one day, and she said that she was glad that she didn’t have to hide anymore.

Ava hugged Tripp, gushing that they were living under the same roof. “If only Patch were here, everything would be perfect,” Ava said. Tripp looked askew.

Finally, Steve and Kayla visited the prison and talked while they were waiting for Joey. Steve fussed about Tripp staying with Ava, and Kayla apologized for the whole situation. Suddenly, Joey walked in, and Steve and Kayla greeted him happily.
