Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, December 24 Recap - Lani & Eli Twins Born - Allie Tells Sami Tripp Guilty - Joey's Seattle Move

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 24, reveal that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) visited Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) at Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) apartment.

Tripp worried about how his mom had been missing for two days, and Steve theorized that Ava might have left town never to be seen again. Tripp didn’t think that his mom would do that.

After Steve left, Tripp got a box with all the Christmas cards that Ava had written for him over the years but never sent. Tripp put out all the cards and read his 2020 Christmas card from his mom. “All those years I thought you didn’t want me, and now I know it’s not true,” Tripp said to himself.

“Mom, where are you?” Tripp then called Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) saying that he was coming down to the station to file a missing persons report on Ava.

At the Brady Pub, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) was thrilled to see Joey Johnson (James Lastovic), and the two men talked for a bit, avoiding the topic of Tripp.

Later, Joey called his sister Stephanie Johnson (Shelley Hennig) in Seattle, and they talked about the possibility of him coming to work for her there. Steve walked in the pub, and Joey disconnected from Stephanie.

A bit later, Roman and Steve talked, and it was tense due to the situation with Tripp. Soon, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) walked in with Henry Horton (Kinsley and Jayna Fox), and more tension ensued.

Lucas made a crack about Henry being Steve’s grandson, and Steve said that he wasn’t. Steve took off, and Roman said that he was about to have a video chat with Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).

Roman asked Allie and Lucas to join the video chat, so they did. Sami said that she missed everyone, and Roman brought Henry over and handed him to Allie so that Sami could see her grandson.

Roman then blathered about how tough it had been with the circumstances of Henry’s conception. Sami perked up, wondering what Roman was talking about.

Turns out, Roman thought that Sami knew about Allie’s rape, but she didn’t. Roman and Lucas took Henry and left Allie alone with Sami on the video chat, and Allie proceeded to tell her mother that when she got pregnant with Henry, she was raped. Sami was horrified and started crying.

Sami asked what she could do for Allie, and Allie asked her to love Henry just the same as she would otherwise.

Allie said that she knew that the same thing happened to Sami in high school, and Sami then inquired about what happened to the man who raped her. Allie didn’t want to discuss it, but then she finally said that it was Tripp.

Sami had a huge reaction, and talk quickly turned to how Allie was doing with everything. Allie said that she had learned that she’s a fighter, just like Sami.

Sami said that Allie should lean on her and all of her family. “There’s nothing I won’t do for you,” Sami said softly. Allie looked touched and happy. After Sami and Allie hung up, Roman apologized to Allie for blabbing to Sami, and he wondered where Lucas was. Allie said that she didn’t know.

At the hospital, Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) waited in her room for another contraction. Soon, a contraction came on, and Lani said that the babies were definitely coming today. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) told Lani that she was a warrior.

Meanwhile, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) talked at the nurses’ station, and Abe revealed that he just came from the airport.

Suddenly, Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) emerged and surprised Eli. Eli was thrilled to see his mom, and just then Kayla materialized to say that it was showtime and that the babies were on the way.

Eli hurried into Lani’s room, and soon Lani gave birth to two babies – a little girl and a little boy. Lani and Eli were thrilled, and as they held the babies afterwards, Eli praised Lani for her strength and bravery.

Lani admitted that she had put on a brave face, and that she had been afraid that something would happen, but that then she had an overwhelming feeling that their son David Abraham Grant was there with her.

Eli was touched, and that it was like the story of Christmas – when a child arrived to bring light, hope, and strength into the world. Eli said that they lost David, but that he was watching over them today.

Kayla went to the nurses’ station and got Valerie and Abe, and they went into Lani’s room and met their new grand babies. Lani and Eli revealed that they hadn’t narrowed down names yet, but that they were working on it. Valerie and Abe were in heaven holding their new grandchildren.

Out near the nurses’ station, Steve and Kayla prepared to make Christmas special for the kids at the hospital. Kayla read the story of Christmas, per the hospital tradition, and Steve played Santa for the kids.

Joey was on hand, too, and he told his parents afterwards that he was leaving for Seattle in the morning, and that he had just accepted a job with Stephanie there.

Steve and Kayla were sorry to see Joey go, but they understood that Joey needed to start somewhere fresh. Joey took off, and Steve and Kayla got sentimental and cried and laughed together, realizing that they were all going to be ok.

Back in Lani’s room, Eli and Lani shared some nice moments as they held their new babies. “Merry Christmas, Mommy,” Eli said. “Merry Christmas, Daddy,” Lani replied.

Finally, Back at Ava’s apartment, Tripp answered a knock on the door, and he rushed to the door, expecting it to be Ava. However, it was Lucas, who looked at Tripp menacingly.
