Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, June 18, tease that Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) will try to explain. DOOL fans know John Black (Drake Hogestyn) lectured Claire about the importance of trust before tackling the topic with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). John pointed out that his concerns weren’t so much about Claire sneaking out; they were about Claire’s lies.
Unfortunately, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) put Claire in the position to sneak around and lie once again. The good news is Claire still came clean pretty quickly and brought Gwen in the living room. The bad news is Claire’s initial deception will prove troubling – and so will her special guest’s story. Claire wants to bring her “Capital B Badass” grandparents into this mob drama, so we’ll see how John and Marlena react.
Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will waltz in the Kiriakis mansion and wonder what’s up. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) offered up Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) edition of Crime and Punishment, so Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) thinks he can pass it off as the stolen one. He just sat down to scribble some names and numbers in the margins so it’ll look legit.
Of course, Xander will snatch up the book and grow curious about it’s value. Ciara, Jake and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will insist that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) is in serious trouble. They’ll try to make Xander see that it’s a matter of life and death, but Xander will keep a tight grip on that book.
Since this plan is Jake’s best shot at saving Gabi, he’ll get into a major struggle with Xander over the substitute book. Ben and Ciara will join in, so they’ll all be gathered around Xander as he sinks to the floor and tries to keep this sought-after literature.
In the end, Xander will relent and let the lunatics head off to do whatever they want. Xander’s got more important things to do anyway – like making sure Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) gets the closure she needs.
Before we get to that, we should catch up with Sarah and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). It’s been a while since Brady and Sarah dashed off to a hotel room, so you may wonder how things are going. The answer is…not well. Days spoilers say Brady will be naked under the sheets with Sarah as he admits this has never happened before.
Since Brady won’t be physically able to go through with this, he’ll confess that he doesn’t want to anyway. Brady’s hung up on Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), so he’ll talk things out with Sarah and help her understand there’s a limit to how far his vengeful side can go.
Afterward, Xander will show up and convince Sarah to visit the cemetery for the surprise he’s prepared. Once Sarah arrives, she’ll see that Xander had a headstone made for the real Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s grave. It’ll have Mackenzie’s name on it along with an engraving that says, “FOREVER WITH THE ANGELS ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.”
Sarah will get emotional as she talks to Mackenzie and reflects on losing her. Xander will give Sarah some space, but he’ll eventually kneel down next to her. It’ll be a tender moment that brings the pair together, so Sarah will truly appreciate the thought and effort Xander put into his latest gesture.
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani Price (Sal Stowers) will work through her morning sickness and help Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) with the case. It looks like they’ll follow Jake and Ben to the hideout, where negotiations will hit a huge snag. Jake’s counting on Jimmy (Chuma Gault) to be fooled by the phony book, but it won’t be that simple when someone higher up becomes part of all this.
This guy may or may not be the mysterious boss that’s been talked about, but he’ll definitely know this is NOT the right book! Ben will be with Jake when things head south, so they’ll both be facing imminent death along with Gabi. That’s when Lani and Eli will burst in to save the day. Days spoilers say Eli and Lani will move fast with weapons drawn, so they’ll pull off this dramatic rescue.
