Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, September 10 Recap - Ciara’s Rings Found In Explosion - Gwen Tries To Drug Abigail Again

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 10, reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) talked at the DiMera mansion. Abigail was peeved over Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien) kissing Chad, and Chad insisted that he was “stealth kissed.”

Abigail wasn’t happy about it, but she accepted it, and she wished that they had no house guests at all. Chad’s phone rang and it was Li Shin (Remington Hoffman), so Chad stepped out.

Upstairs in Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Gwen’s room, Jake came in and asked Gwen what she was doing. Gwen said she was packing to move into Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) old room.

Considerable bickering ensued, and Gwen insisted that she was much better off without a man in her life and had no sights set on Chad. But she said she wouldn’t leave the mansion without “completing her mission.”

Jake was momentarily puzzled by that remark, and Gwen went onto say that she and Abigail might be friends. Jake thought something seemed off about Gwen, and Gwen said, “What possible threat could I be?”

Gwen left the room, and later Chad walked in to tell Jake that “Collins” was coming back to town on business and that Jake should stay out of it.

Jake and Chad argued, and Chad basically threatened Jake in as many words. Chad said that Jake had placed all his chips on Gabi to win, and that he needed to start looking for a new place to live. After Chad left, Jake flopped on the bed in exasperation.

Back downstairs, Gwen approached Abigail wanting to apologize for kissing Chad. Abigail was standoffish, but eventually she warmed up a little to Gwen after Gwen made it clear that she had no designs on Chad.

Gwen and Abigail bonded over their dislike of Gabi, and Gwen poured them drinks, drugging Abigail’s drink in the process. But before Abigail could take a drink, Chad returned and whisked her upstairs.

At the hospital, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) canoodled, and then Xander told Sarah about being Co-CEO with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). Xander said he felt like quitting, but Sarah encouraged him to stick with it. After a pep talk, Xander felt better, and he took off.

At the airstrip, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) tried to approach the burning car, but it was thoroughly engulfed in flames. Ben ended up unconscious on the ground, and soon Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) rushed over and got Ben.

Hope screamed as she looked at the car burning. Shawn managed to get a fire extinguisher, but it was no match for the flames.

Later, Ben woke up at the hospital and thought Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) was talking to him. Turns out, it was Sarah, and Ben quickly got oriented and remembered the explosion.

Sarah had to physically keep Ben from getting out of bed, and she promised to go find out what was going on. Ben looked terribly worried.

In town square, Belle Black (Martha Madison) was on the phone with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) when Philip came up behind her and scared her. This caused Belle to react, and she ended up shoving Philip to the ground.

Embarrassed, Philip got up and sat with Belle, quickly learning about Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) being released.

After some small talk, Belle asked Philip why he was back in town, and just then Xander walked up saying, “He’s here to steal my job.” Philip and Xander bickered for a moment, until Belle got a call from Shawn at the explosion site. Belle told Philip and Xander about the explosion, and she rushed off to go be with Shawn.

Philip and Xander decided to put aside their differences for the time being, to help Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) deal with the possible loss of Ciara. Xander and Philip said that they didn’t trust each other, and Xander said that Philip wouldn’t put one over on him. Philip quipped that when he did, Xander wouldn’t see it coming.

Back at the explosion site, Belle arrived and comforted Shawn, who cried in her arms. Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Hope arrived in Ben’s room. “They did everything they could,” Hope said sadly.

Ben asked if they found Ciara, and Hope said they found nothing but this, as she handed Ben Ciara’s rings. Ben reached out for the rings, and he and Hope broke down.
