Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some great news to pass on about the upcoming return of two fan favorite DOOL characters. The new Days of Our Lives fall preview is out, and it indicates that Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) will be returning in the coming weeks.
It appears that Tony and Anna will return to Salem for the Christmas holiday, as they’re shows in the preview acting celebratory. It’s been a while since Tony and Anna have been on the Salem scene.
Viewers will remember that the couple was actively involved in the “Steveano” storyline, and they were present when Stefano DiMera aka Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was terrorizing his family and trying to brainwash Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) into becoming his bride at the new Mansion Blanche.
Presumably, Tony and Anna have been away from Salem happily living their lives, but they’ll apparently walk right back into some major drama in at the DiMera mansion.
Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) will be back in the mansion trying to get Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) back, and of course Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will still be scheming to cause problems between Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Speaking of Gwen, the new Days of Our Lives preview shows Anna warning Abigail about Gwen. It looks like Gwen’s sweet nanny routine won’t pass muster with Anna.
Anna was of course very conniving and manipulative back in the day, and she’ll probably be able to read Gwen pretty well. “Gwen isn’t as nice as you think she is,” Anna warns in the preview.
Of course, Anna might have a sense that Gwen is after a share of the DiMera fortune, although that doesn’t seem to be the case. As viewers are aware, Gwen recently shared her rationale for hating Abigail with Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), although viewers weren’t privy to what her explanation was.
Perhaps Anna will take it upon herself to do some snooping into Gwen’s motivations!
At any rate, it will be great to see Tony and Anna back in action on the show. Things are always brighter on the DiMera scene when Tony and Anna are around – and let’s hope that Anna can get through to Abigail about Gwen!
