Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tripp’s Missing Note Explained – 3 Reasons Allie Didn’t Find Message Left Behind in London

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s a mystery within a mystery on the NBC soap. DOOL fans know Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) claims he never forced himself on Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), but there’s DNA evidence that suggests he did.

Of course, the main mystery here involves how that’s possible since Tripp is almost certainly innocent.

Nevertheless, we want to focus on a smaller detail within that mystery – one that could blow the case wide open. Days viewers know Tripp has told his side of the story several times. Tripp has always been adamant that he left a note for Allie in hopes that she’d call him later.

What’s up with that note and why did it go missing? It’s time to get to the bottom of things and figure out what that missing note really means. Here are three reasons Allie didn’t find the message Tripp left behind in London.

1) Allie’s real attacker took it to protect himself

If Tripp is innocent, that means someone else had to assault Allie and become the father of her baby that night. It’s reasonable to assume that same man saw Tripp’s note and swiped it.

Why would the real rapist do that? Perhaps it was a bit of an insurance policy. The true attacker may have been counting on Allie being too drunk to remember what he did to her. However, he might’ve ultimately realized it’d be best to swipe the note – just in case Allie remembered and he needed to blame Tripp.

By taking the note, the real assaulter took away the part of Tripp’s story that made it seem like Tripp was caring and considerate. If Allie recalled two men being at her apartment that night, the one who left a note behind would look innocent and the one who didn’t would look guilty. The latter would seem like the one with something to hide.

The real attacker wasn’t interested in leaving behind any proof of his guilt either, so taking Tripp’s note leveled the playing field and made it less likely that Allie’s memory would be jogged at all.

2) Key detail points to Tripp’s truth

Since Tripp most likely isn’t guilty, Days needed some ways to chip away at Allie’s very confident story. Allie was so sure that it was Tripp who held her down, so DOOL had to bring in doubts for viewers in other ways. This missing note is a great way to do that.

Since Tripp has mentioned this note repeatedly, it presents a different version of events and plants a crucial clue in Days of Our Lives fans’ minds. There’s a good chance the note Tripp wrote will be a key detail in proving he’s telling the truth.

3) The note may resurface later

It seems like a bad idea for the real attacker to keep the note, but criminals aren’t always very bright – especially on soaps. It’s possible this note will resurface later in the real attacker’s possession.

What if Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) finds a note with Tripp’s name and phone number on it in Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) bedroom, for example? That could be what tips Claire off to trouble eventually.

Bottom line, this missing note is significant and will play a role in how the larger mystery of who attacked Allie unravels. We’ll keep you posted as other Days news and updates emerge.
