Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 2, reveal that Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) canoodled in bed after Ben brought Ciara breakfast. It was Ciara’s first day back to work at Titan, and Ben planned on spending the day job hunting, since he was no longer employed at the garage. Ciara opened the door to leave for work, and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) was there.
Jake asked to come in and talk with Ben, and he revealed that he was messed up in organized crime before he came to Salem, and that before he left, he took something valuable hoping to use it as a bargaining chip. Turns out, Jake’s ex-girlfriend ended up taking this thing after a fight, and Jake has no idea where his ex is now.
Jake explained that he wound up in Salem because he tracked his ex here, but then her trail ran cold, and he ended up staying and taking the job at the garage. Jake lamented about what his former associates are capable of, and he said that they needed to find his ex soon, because he’d hate to think of any woman at their mercy.
At the prison, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) arrived to visit with Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). Xander relayed that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was in court trying to get Maggie released, since Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) confessed. Talk turned to Xander’s plight with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), and Xander lamented about Sarah hating him.
Xander also told Maggie that Sarah was sleeping with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) – or at least that’s what they wanted him to think. Maggie suggested that Xander give Sarah space, and Xander went off to call the court and check on the status of Justin’s appeal on Maggie’s behalf.
At the Hospital, Sarah walked in Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) room, where Victor was in a wheelchair and about to be released. Sarah seethed that she wished Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had better aim, because if she did, then Victor would be a dead man. Sarah started yelling and raging at Victor about the baby swap, saying horrible things and getting out of control.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) walked in and put an end to Sarah’s angry outburst, and Victor said, “The woman should be fired for threatening a patient, especially one with high blood pressure.” Marlena reminded Victor that he didn’t have high blood pressure, and she took Sarah out of the room to the seating area near the nurses’ station. Marlena noted that Sarah seemed to be in a lot of pain.
Sarah said that the hardest part was the betrayal by Xander, and Marlena wondered if Sarah still loved Xander. Sarah didn’t exactly answer, but she did fume about how Xander said he did what he did to protect her. Marlena listened, and she noted that sometimes love drives people to extremes.
Marlena also said that Sarah needed to grieve over losing her child, and that turning it into anger as a coping mechanism wouldn’t help. Sarah wondered if Marlena thought that she should forgive Xander, but Marlena said that was entirely Sarah’s decision.
Sarah’s phone rang, and she stepped away, then Marlena got a call and told someone on the other end that she’d be right there.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) were about to tell Ari Horton (Sydney Brower) about Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) being in jail again when Gabi marched in the living room to take Ari to school. Will and Sonny were confused, and Gabi told Ari that she had been on a business trip.
When Ari left the room, Will and Sonny quizzed Gabi about how she got out of jail, and she revealed that she was out on bond and that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was working to prove her innocence.
Will and Sonny doubted her innocence, and Gabi told them that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) had set her up and that she was on a mission to prove via DNA that Jake was Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Will and Sonny were exasperated.
Gabi left with Ari for school, and Will and Sonny lamented about Gabi’s obsession with Jake. Sonny’s phone rang and it was Victor wanting to be picked up from the hospital.
Will and Sonny left together to go get Victor. Later, they brought Victor back, and Victor noted that the place looked empty. Suddenly, Maggie and Xander walked in. Xander explained that the judge had just overturned Maggie’s conviction.
Sonny and Will each warmly embraced Maggie, then Victor told Maggie she was a sight for sore eyes. Maggie was silent, and Victor asked if she had anything to say to him. Maggie cried. And at the door, Xander went to leave and found Sarah about to walk in. Sarah and Xander stared at each other momentarily.
At the DiMera mansion, Gabi searched her bedroom for something of Stefan’s, eventually finding what appeared to be a comb. She put the comb into a plastic bag, then told herself that she needed something of Jake’s now. Gabi headed to Jake’s garage, where she found the place empty.
Gabi headed up to Jake’s room, where she snagged a toothbrush of his. Gabi put the toothbrush in a plastic bag, then turned to leave and a burly guy stood in her way. “Going somewhere?” the guy said. Gabi looked scared.
In Brady’s office at Titan, Brady told himself that he was going to take the company and Victor down brick by brick. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) walked in wanting to know what Brady was up to.
Brady acted coy, and John deduced that Brady must be pretty peeved at Victor. John asked Brady what he had planned, but before Brady could answer, Ciara walked in, interrupting them.
John left, and Brady welcomed Ciara back to the fold. Ciara whipped out a booklet and presented it to Brady, saying that it was her projections for the various Titan divisions. Ciara thought they could focus the company on its Asia division, but Brady balked, saying he had other ideas.
Ciara protested, saying that her ideas were solid, and Brady promised to look at her work. Ciara left to go to her office, and Brady shut the door, sighed, and threw Ciara’s booklet into the trash can.
Finally, at Bayview, Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) was sitting in her room when Marlena walked in. “Grandma!” Claire cried happily. Marlena and Claire hugged, and Marlena said that she had gotten Claire’s call. Claire said that she needed to talk to Marlena right away. “I want to get out of here, Grandma,” Claire said. “I’m ready to come home.”
