Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 23, teases that fans will see Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) latest visitor – and it won’t be the person she was counting on.
Nicole admitted to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was supposed to come home as a big surprise, but it was Will Horton (Chandler Massey) who turned up moments later.
By the end of Tuesday’s episode, Nicole excitedly greeted another sudden arrival – but she looked taken aback once she realized who it actually was. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will offer a holiday greeting on Wednesday.
Rafe will get the feeling that he’s not all that welcome, but Nicole will confess she was simply expecting someone else.
Of course, there’s been no sign of Greg Vaughan filming at all, so Eric’s holiday homecoming should be a bust. Perhaps Eric will get stranded at some airport between Salem and the Congo due to bad weather.
Thankfully, Rafe will be more than willing to spend Christmas Eve with Nicole since he’s on his own, too.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say this could be the beginning of blooming love, but Rafe and Nicole will just strengthen their friendship for now. Look for Nicole and Rafe to taste some holiday treats as they catch up on each other’s lives.
Meanwhile, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will be shocked by Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) special delivery. Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) may be gone, but she’s not forgotten – and she didn’t forget about making Ben part of a Horton family tradition either.
Claire will drop off Ben’s custom ornament, which Ciara apparently ordered back when she was still alive. Days spoilers say Ben will get choked up over Ciara’s gesture, but Claire will have one more gift for him – the gift of a family for Christmas.
Claire will insist Ben’s still invited to the Horton family tree-trimming party. Ciara loved her husband with all her heart and would certainly want him to be included.
Although Ben may be reluctant to attend, Claire can be pretty persuasive when she wants to be. She won’t want Ben to spend Christmas Eve all alone, so he’ll indeed join in the festivities at the Horton house.
As for the rest of this party’s guest list, DOOL spoilers say Allie, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) will make appearances.
A very pregnant Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will also show up with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), but there’ll be some lingering friction between them.
Once Lani steps over to help trim the Christmas tree, she’ll be shocked over her water breaking. Eli will get updates and make sure Lani gets a ride to the hospital ASAP.
As for Julie, she’ll give Jennifer a little push in Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) direction. Julie hates to see true love squandered, so she’ll tug at Jenn’s heartstrings using Jack’s ornament. Jennifer will also open the present Jack passed along, so she’ll tear up over the sweet item that’s inside.
Doug will gently urge Ben to help with the ornaments, but it’ll be tough for Ben to hang Ciara’s bauble. Luckily, a vision of Ciara will pop up to place her hand on Ben’s hand and assist with the last of the tree-trimming.
Once Ben turns around, he’ll take Ciara into his arms and lock lips with her for some holiday steaminess. This will just be in Ben’s head, but it’ll still be a sizzling Christmas Eve moment!
Naturally, Days spoilers suggest Ciara isn’t dead and will inevitably make a comeback down the road. For the time being, Ben will have to soak up all the Ciara he can get in his own mind.
At the hospital, Lani and Eli will be victims of two Cupids for Christmas. Julie and Doug will do whatever they can to make Eli and Lani stop all the fighting over Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Doug and Julie will take some cute photos with almost Mom and Dad on this special occasion. Lani’s labor will really get going in Thursday’s DOOL episode, so stick with us for the latest news.
