Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 30, teases that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will have to decide whether he’ll stick to his lie or come clean.
Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) figured out Jake is the man Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) has been sleeping with, so she’s currently pushing Jake to admit it.
Jake seemed ready to deny it in Tuesday’s episode, but he’ll wind up coming out with the truth on Wednesday. It may take some convincing, but Jake will finally realize the jig is up.
Once Abigail has confirmation on Jake and Kate’s secret romance, she’ll realize Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) lied about the bracelet.
Jake will probably argue that Gwen seems to have some inexplicable issue with Abigail – at least he can’t explain it! Abigail’s been nothing but good to Gwen as far as Jake can tell, so he won’t understand her grudge.
Neither will Abigail, but she’ll team up with Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) in the coming episodes and inch closer to the truth.
In the meantime, Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) will get a visit from Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Will may be sorry he’s just now dropping off his Christmas gifts, but better late than never! The real gift will be Will’s visit itself, so Jenn should enjoy catching up and perhaps getting some words of wisdom.
Will and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) have overcome so much just to be together – including cheating drama, Will’s “death” and a whole lot more. Once Jennifer talks about her latest troubles with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Will may feel certain they’re going to work it out.
Abigail feels the same way, so Jennifer will show up at the New Year’s Eve party on a mission.
Jack will be with Kate when Jennifer arrives, which should be uncomfortable for all parties involved. However, Jennifer knows Jack’s one-night stand with Kate was just that – a one-night stand. Jack isn’t hung up on Kate and it hasn’t happened again, so Jennifer will be willing to move forward.
Days spoilers say Jack will get the reunion of his dreams on New Year’s Eve, but Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) will worry about a different reunion – namely Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf).
Brady and Chloe are indeed exes who will show up together for the NYE bash, so Philip won’t be pleased – especially since Chloe said she wasn’t going.
However, it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, particularly when it’s a low-pressure situation with a good friend like Brady. There’s an easy-breezy vibe between Brady and Chloe, so neither one of them will consider it a big deal.
Philip’s the one who’ll be a jealous ball of fury as he watches Chloe kiss Brady at midnight for the sake of tradition.
There’ll be photographers sent to over the shindig for the newspaper – and as luck would have it, Chloe and Brady’s platonic smooch will land a prominent place in print.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will fume once she receives her newspaper copy in prison, so look for that drama to explode next week.
As for Wednesday’s episode, Will’s going to continue making the rounds and visiting some familiar faces while he’s in town. Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) will be glad to spend some time with Will and may end up giving him an idea.
Will might admit that he’s a little disappointed he won’t be able to ring in the new year with Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) back in Arizona.
However, Maggie might suggest sometimes relationships are about improvising and making the best of things. You’d be surprised what you can accomplish if you set your mind to it and put in a bit more efforts.
It’ll eventually occur to Will that he can just celebrate at midnight with Sonny through the magic of technology. Freddie Smith will appear via video chat, so Will and Sonny will be reunited for New Year’s Eve.
Meanwhile, Gwen will keep her lies going strong. She already deceived Chad about the bracelet being for Abigail, so now it’s time for the next step. DOOL fans will recall that Gwen posed as Abigail over the phone and booked a suite with the romantic package.
Gwen will likely lie about overhearing Abigail make that reservation, so Chad will march over to the Salem Inn fuming.
Chad will find that suite set up just how Gwen requested – with rose petals, Champagne, the whole nine yards… Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will start downing glass after glass of bubbly. He’ll feel like there’s no doubt left in his mind when it comes to Abigail betraying him with Jake.
Naturally, Gwen will pretend to comfort Chad over this devastating blow. She might insist that if she had a good man like Chad, she’d never betray him like Abigail’s doing! Gwen might also point out that Jake cheated on her, too. She can manipulate Chad into thinking that she understands his pain.
As Gwen sits on the bed with Chad, she’ll ultimately lean in and lock lips with him. Chad will be getting pretty plastered at that point, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next. Whether Chad actually sleeps with Gwen or not, they’ll both end up nude under the covers before the week’s over!
