Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) could get an unlikely accomplice in her quest to get Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) to remember his past as Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Of course, it’s not clear at this point whether Jake is indeed Stefan, but Gabi certainly believes that he is, and given how passionate she is about Stefan, she’d probably go to great lengths to get her husband back.
Well, according to DOOL spoilers, there will soon be someone else on the Salem scene who will be absolutely floored by Jake’s appearance, and that’s Stefan’s mom Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel).
In one of the new DOOL summer promos, Vivian is shown sitting in what appears to be the police station and getting an eyeful of Jake for the first time. “My son!” Vivian exclaims.
Of course, Jake is almost certainly going to insist that he’s Jake and that he always has been. But there’s just no way that Vivian is going to take “Jake” for an answer. She’ll surely feel just the way that Gabi does – that this is Stefan, through and through. And that could put Vivian and Gabi in an interesting position – the position of allies.
Gabi will soon have a new nemesis to contend with for Jake’s affections, and that’s Jake’s ex, Gwen (Emily O’Brien), who will be fresh out of Bayview and most likely set on getting Jake back.
It looks like we’re going to see a Gabi vs. Gwen battle going forward, and Gabi might want some help in prying Gwen away from Jake and helping Jake to regain his memories as Stefan.
Now, Gabi and Vivian might decide to call a truce with each other and work together for their common goal of turning Jake back into Stefan. DOOL viewers will remember that Vivian was definitely not a Gabi fan during her last visit in Salem.
At the time, Vivian (then portrayed by Robin Strasser) thought that Stefan could do a lot better than Gabi and even tried to push Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) onto Stefan.
But those past differences just may not seem important to Gabi and Vivian now that they both have an important common goal in wanting to get Stefan back.
Vivian could conceivably give Gabi some help in dealing with Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), since Rolf and Vivian have been associated in the past. Gabi might enlist Vivian to talk with Rolf and find out whether Rolf had anything to do with saving Stefan and turning him into Jake.
And Gabi could help Vivian by continuing to work on Jake and getting him to remember his love with Gabi. The ladies might determine that this is the best way to jog Stefan’s memory, so they can really use each other’s help.
It would be an interesting alliance, but one that could have a great outcome if indeed Jake does eventually remember his life as Stefan.
