Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) will have Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) on his mind in the coming episodes. DOOL fans know Gabi initially lashed out at Jake after the wedding literally blew up.
Naturally, Jake couldn’t have known it’d turn into such a disaster when he asked Gabi to be his plus one. He was just trying to do a nice thing!
Fortunately, Gabi later realized her overreaction was more about Jake’s appearance. Jake isn’t Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), so Gabi’s still in pain. On the bright side, Gabi bonded with Jake as she told him about his family. They connected over their similar backgrounds, so there’s certainly the potential for new love to bloom.
However, Days spoilers say Jake will land back in bed with Gwen (Emily O’Brien) during the week of July 27-31. Although Jake cares about Gabi, it won’t be enough to stop him from drifting toward familiar Gwen. There’s no doubt that Jake’s quite drawn to Gwen and the spark they have together.
Of course, it just wouldn’t be DOOL if things didn’t get complicated – or in this case, more complicated! Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen and Jake will ultimately move in the DiMera mansion. Once Jake’s in close quarters with Gabi, will he be able to resist his growing desires?
If DOOL writers are smart, they might even have Gabi and Jake get stuck in the DiMera secret room. That’s where Stefan and Gabi’s feelings bubbled over.
Despite all the scheming and conflict, Gabi and Stefan were able to admit their love for each other. Passion erupted – and “Stabi” shippers loved every second of it. Maybe a similar situation could play out between Gabi and Jake.
We have to acknowledge the fact that Camila Banus is leaving the role of Gabi. Banus’ last appearance should be coming up around early September, so what will play out between now and then?
Shouldn’t Banus and Barash’s onscreen chemistry be fully revisited? Jake may not be Stefan, but he needs to hit the sheets with Gabi – at least once!
Gabi and Jake fans deserve a passionate encounter before Banus hits the road, so let’s hope Days delivers.
