Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) has been a critical figure in the ongoing relationship between Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant).
Charlie has relied on Xander for advice and pep-talks which at times have taken a humorous turn. Xander has held himself up as a role model for Charlie, giving him tips about how to pursue Claire and be a suave guy.
Well, in the days to come, both Claire and viewers will apparently see a new side of Charlie – the jealous side. When Claire receives a special necklace of Ciara Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) from Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Charlie witnesses Claire give Ben a big bear hug, he’s going to feel a little slighted.
Charlie’s already been understanding about Claire kissing Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), and now he’ll be faced with Claire getting physical with another guy.
One wonders whether Charlie will run to Xander with his feelings about this particular dilemma and exactly what Xander will say. It probably won’t be long before Charlie learns all about Ben’s history and the fact that he was the Necktie Killer.
That’s not going to make Charlie feel any better about the Ben situation for sure.
It will be interesting to see how Charlie ultimately handles Claire’s closeness with Ben, but there’s some indication that there could be much more to Charlie than meets the eye.
DOOL buzz indicates that Charlie could end up being the man who raped Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in London last year, and if that’s the case, then Claire’s got a real problem on her hands – it would mean that she’s involved with a guy who’s capable of terrible things.
And if Charlie finds himself getting jealous and possessive of Claire as a result of the Ben situation, then that could have some really negative repercussions for Claire, and she could be in danger.
One wonders whether Charlie will end up showing his dark side, assuming that he has one, to Xander as the weeks unfold. Xander could end up noticing some oddities in Charlie.
Xander’s never really seemed like he likes Claire, and he’s had some not-so-nice things to say about her mental health history, but we suspect that deep down, Xander cares for Claire on some level.
And Xander would certainly want to warn Claire if he saw problems with Charlie…and more certainly, Xander would probably warn Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) about Charlie.
Xander knows how much Victor loves his great-granddaughter Claire, and he might see an opportunity to get in good with Victor by helping to protect Claire when he notices warning signs about Charlie.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander could turn out to be the great hero for Claire when and if things go bad with Charlie!
We’ll see what happens here, but if problems emerge with Charlie, then Claire’s going to be in a predicament, and it would be good if she had someone looking out for her.
Xander would be a seemingly unlikely person to do it, but given his meddling in Charlie and Claire’s relationship so far, it doesn’t seem too out of the question.
