For Life Premiere Recap 11/18/20: Season 2 Episode 1 “Never Stop Fighting”

As dangerous enemies lurk at Bellmore and Marie faces criminal charges for assisting Aaron in prior cases, Aaron must find a way to gain the upper hand on Maskins.”

Henry and Marie meet with Aaron. He has been awarded a retrial but also has been offered a deal. They talk about what all that means, especially with the new attorney general. This deal could get him killed. He could lose his license and Marie could lose her license.

Aaron tells Huey he wants to see Jamal. He is allowed. They talk about the deal and the retrial. Jamal thinks the deal is proof he won. He should sign and get out while he can and meet his new grandson. But when Aaron arrives to sign the deal he tells them he needs more time to decide after the new warden Hunt leads Aaron to believe he has microphones around the prison. The new DA Dez cannot believe this.

Dez heads to see Glen and begins to question if Aaron is in fact innocent and just how corrupt Glen is. Meanwhile, Safiya secretly meets with a guard to get inside information after Henry calls to tell her about Hunt and the deal. Aaron talks to a fellow inmate who he asks to file a grievance. He will represent him.

Dez gets wind that Aaron has filed a grievance on behalf of an inmate. He tells Glen who calls Hunt in front of him, asking about the surveillance they planted. Glen tells Dez he is now just as dirty.

Dez calls Marie in. Henry represents her. They ask her if she looked into medical files involving the woman who overdosed at Aaron’s club. She pleads the fifth. They keep coming at her with fake evidence.

Marie and Henry meet with Aaron. He cannot believe they are coming at Marie. She tells him not to back down. They need to keep going. He makes a video to his friend Mikey who took the fall, pleading for him to help. He has lost 9 years of his life.

Jamal works to get Aaron some help on the inside since Aaron won’t leave his cell. Later, Huey brings Aaron into a room where he is beaten up. It is all captured on video. Jamal comes in after. Huey brings the video to Hunt’s attention. They use it to blackmail him. Aaron also looks like he is no longer a snitch on the inside.

Aaron meets with Hunt. Aaron demands Glen in exchange for the video. Meanwhile, Mikey comes through. Henry brings the video of Mikey to sharing that Aaron was framed to a higher official, Allan. They need to bring Glen down.

Glen tells Dez that Aaron worked as a co-club owner with a drug dealer. He isn’t innocent. They meet with their superior, Allan. He talks to them about Hunt, the video, Aaron, and Mikey. It looks like their actions have cost them. Glen steps down.

Dez meets with Aaron. He has been given a new deal, Glen has stepped down and Aaron gets three years probation. Aaron signs the deal. He tells Dez to do better.

Aaron and Jamal get 10 minutes to say goodbye. Aaron tells him he is his lawyer now. He is going to get him out of here. They hug goodbye, Aaron thanks him for everything. He grabs some boxes and takes one more look at the small room he first started in as a he became a prisoner rep. He walks out of prison to cheers and goodbyes. The gates open. He walks out a free man. Safiya is there. He thanks her. Marie is waiting. They hug. Aaron looks again at the prison before they leave.
