General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) relationship stands no chance of lasting.
Maxie can forgive a lot, but not the horrible things Peter’s done – including framing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for his own crimes and ordering Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) death.
Maxie already forgave Peter for all the Heinrik deception and the deadly drama that led to, so there’s just no way she can do it again – not when Peter’s been telling such blatant lies this whole time.
Peter’s a sinister man who’s only going to make a bigger mess before his exposure. The point is that we should focus on Maxie’s new love interest since it’s obvious she’s going to get one.
General Hospital has the prime opportunity for an intriguing love triangle here. Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) has some chemistry with Maxie – and those scenes at his garage earlier this year were undoubtedly about testing that chem.
It’s easy to see the potential for Maxie and Brando to become an item down the road.
However, Brando and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) have some sizzle in their scenes together, too. Although Sasha was initially irritated by Brando, she softened toward him recently and even gave him a little peck on the cheek under the mistletoe.
Since Sasha and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) reunion probably isn’t going to work out, Brando may be the one who comforts Sasha and keeps her on a drug-free path. General Hospital spoilers say love could start to bloom, but maybe GH writers can leave Brando with a torn heart eventually.
Brando would be a great choice as a new love interest option for Maxie, so he might end up feeling conflicted. Part of Brando could be drawn to Sasha while another part of him is drawn to Maxie.
If Brando does something heroic for Maxie next – like delivering her baby – it’d be a quick way to stir up some feelings between them.
Maxie will need time to get over Peter and the life she thought they’d build together, but no one ever stays out of love too long on a soap! Sooner or later, perhaps General Hospital will push Sasha, Brando and Maxie into a hot new love triangle – one that’ll have a steamy outcome no matter what.
