General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) has a fierce faceoff in her future. GH fans know Nelle was able to get her hands on Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and make a break for it, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has no intention of letting her get far. He’s determined to track Nelle down no matter what.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) may be able to help once he realizes Nelle has a tracker in Wiley’s kangaroo, but what about the actual confrontation ahead?
Will it be the cops who catch Nelle or could Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) catch up with her first? There might even be some sort of situation where Carly serves as bait or distracts Nelle in some way.
Nelle hates Carly with a passion, so she won’t be able to resist engaging in another round of battle. In a Soap Opera Digest interview, General Hospital Co-Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor promised this kidnapping storyline “will ultimately bring her relationship with Carly to a major climax, one that will have ripple effects for the rest of the canvas.”
Could Nelle get injured in this bitter battle? That might be a way to make Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) sympathetic to Nelle again. Once the truth about their mother-daughter connection comes out, General Hospital will need some strategies to bring Nina and Nelle closer. A hospital crisis for Nelle might serve as a good one.
However, another option would be for Carly to figure out Nelle is Nina’s bio daughter and keep quiet about it initially. There’d be no better way for Nina and Nelle to bond than over mutual anger toward Carly!
This major climax that’s been promised might involve Carly eventually blurting out what she knows – that Nina is Nelle’s mother. That’d certainly make some waves on canvas!
