General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a paternity bombshell is most likely brewing. GH fans know there’s been plenty of Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) talk lately. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) urged Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to track Claudette down – and that’s exactly what Curtis intends to do with Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) help.
Of course, General Hospital has also been playing up the father-daughter bond between Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). They’ve always showcased the connection between Valentin and Charlotte, but the focus has been excessive lately.
It feels like a hint that Valentin’s about to lose what matters most to him in this world. After all, that’d be the most fitting way to make Valentin truly suffer.
Charlotte may not be Valentin’s biological daughter, which leads us to an interesting question. If Valentin isn’t Charlotte’s bio dad, who is? GH could take this story in plenty of exciting directions, but it makes sense that fans will know the alternative father.
This could be a great way to bring a familiar character back into the story.
Could Drew Cain (Billy Miller) be Charlotte’s real father? It’s an option to consider since Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) held Drew captive for years and had an awfully twisted mind.
Perhaps Claudette wound up being a surrogate for Drew and Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) baby instead of Valentin and Lulu’s.
Since Valentin and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) recently clashed, it’d be interesting if Peter dropped a leverage bomb at some point. As Helena’s secret partner, Peter was heavily tied to all the Drew drama.
If General Hospital wants to put some power back in Peter’s hands, this Drew paternity shocker might be useful. Naturally, revealing Drew as Charlotte’s dad could be a comeback strategy for the character.
If GH has plans for that in 2020, this is just the kind of revelation that could set it up. Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Valentin’s heartbreak isn’t over just yet. A paternity change could bring devastation for both Valentin and Charlotte eventually.
