General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t done with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) yet. GH fans know Sonny already pumped Martin for info on Julian Jerome (William deVry), but now it’s time to grill Martin about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Sonny seemed to have a hunch Martin was connected to Cyrus somehow – and that hunch was confirmed when the bartender revealed Cyrus had taken care of Martin’s drink bill. It won’t be long until Sonny corners Martin again and perhaps brings that up.
Of course, Martin might suggest Cyrus is a philanthropist who’s generous with everyone. “Marty” obviously won’t want to spill more than he has to! However, Martin should know by now that Sonny isn’t the kind of guy who just lets things go – not without a fight anyway.
Sonny will grill Martin on December 9 and hope he can pry the truth out of him. It looks like Sonny may mention the dangerous moves Cyrus has set in motion since coming to town. Unless Martin can clear things up for Sonny, he’ll suggest he’s going to assume that Martin is involved.
Martin will be in a tight spot since he’d rather not divulge all the details of his past and how it relates to Cyrus. It’s possible Martin will stonewall Sonny and insist Cyrus is a mutual problem.
After all, Martin is never too happy to see Cyrus. Just because they’re connected doesn’t mean they’re allies, so that might be something Martin reminds Sonny of.
Martin may take his chances and leave Sonny in the dark – or he might offer up just enough info to satisfy Sonny. Regardless, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) will do some investigating and get back to Sonny on Wednesday. If Martin won’t spill, Diane could do it for him.
There’ll be some shocker in Cyrus’ history that Diane uncovers, so that may involve his connection to Martin. How are Cyrus and Martin linked? What secrets might come out soon? We know that Martin goes way back with Cyrus and doesn’t seem afraid of him.
In the December 8 episode, Martin also notes that he never wanted any part of Cyrus’ world. There’s definitely a tense family vibe going on here, so let’s explore that angle a bit more.
The patient who is Cyrus’ Achilles’ Heel is named Florence Gray – and she was also the wife of Gordon Gray, Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) biological father. Martin has the same last name of Gray while Cyrus has the last name of Renault, so that’s a clue to consider.
It’s possible that Martin is a son who belonged to Gordon and Florence. Cyrus could potentially be Florence’s son by another man or perhaps a stepchild she claimed as her own. We could be dealing with a half-brother or stepbrother situation.
Then again, Martin might be Cyrus’ cousin or be related another way. Regardless, Martin indeed has a longstanding connection to Cyrus, so that’s something Sonny is eager to find out. Whether Martin divulges the truth or not, Sonny’s bound to uncover the information he’s seeking!
