General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease reveal that fans are curious about Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) next chapter. Right now, Dante’s battling terrible nightmares due to his programming and PTSD. It’s clear that Dante still has a lot of work to do in his recovery, but he’s finally ready to do it.
In the episode that aired on August 28, Dr. Kirk pointed out that he was under pressure to send Dante home immediately. There’s a WSB mission that Dante would be suited for – an operative assignment that involves someone close to him.
Dante initially worried this was about taking down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Regardless, Dante didn’t want to betray or deceive someone he cared about again. Dr. Kirk suggested that left Dante with two options: rot in that facility or do the treatment that can help Dante recover.
Now Dante’s settled on the treatment, but there’s a reason GH mentioned that possible mission. Dante may end up accepting it anyway – or perhaps he’ll push for more details and potentially carry it out on his own.
It seems obvious that Dante’s return will fit with the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) storyline somehow. General Hospital spoilers say some upcoming events will motivate Dante to speed up his recovery.
Dante already admitted he wasn’t sure who would be waiting on him. As more chaos erupts in Port Charles, Dante will need to play the hero! That’ll give Dante yet another reason to return home.
Of course, all of this seems risky considering Dante just attacked his doctor following a nightmare. It’s troubling that the WSB just wants to throw him back into a mission in this state.
Although Dante rejected that assignment, it sounds like his treatment will be rushed. If this isn’t done properly, there could still be serious danger to Dante’s loved ones.
However, it’s probably better to roll the dice in this case since Cyrus wants Sonny dead. Dante may become a real asset to Sonny down the road. If Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) is up to no good, maybe Dante can uncover that, too.
Dante’s help is definitely needed back in Port Charles, so it’ll be interesting to see how this storyline plays out. We’ll offer updates as other GH news comes in.
