General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) mission could take an interesting turn. GH fans know Dante’s supposed to gather evidence on Peter August (Wes Ramsey), so that’s exactly what he’ll do. Dante will have to dig around and see how much of a threat Peter truly poses.
Naturally, Peter’s worst offense was arguably calling for that hit on Drew Cain (Billy Miller). Drew was presumed dead in a plane crash – and that was all Peter’s fault. However, Dante could perhaps do some investigating and discover that there’s actually more to the story.
Think about when Peter ordered that distraction for Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Soon after, Peter found out Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was supposedly dead and flipped out.
Peter ranted at his minion since Holly’s death wasn’t the distraction he had in mind. It led to a physical attack on Peter’s henchman, who pushed Peter to calm down since they had nothing to do with Holly’s fate.
Before he knew he was in the clear, Peter didn’t like the idea of Holly’s blood being on his hands. It’s reasonable to think Peter might’ve had a problem with Drew’s blood being on his hands, too. What if Drew’s death was faked in the end? That would’ve taken care of Peter’s threat and eased his conscience just a bit.
It would also allow for a much easier redemption if that’s the route GH intends to take again. If Drew’s alive and can be found, there’s a way forward as a good guy. Otherwise, it’s going to be awfully hard for Peter to have a future as anybody other than a villain.
Peter can’t just kill Drew Cain and sweep it under the rug! It was a HUGE deal that Peter will have to pay for unless GH fixes this. Luckily, General Hospital has the perfect opportunity now that Dante’s on the case. Dante’s going to uncover the truth about Peter and all his shady activities, but that leaves the door open for Dante to uncover a Drew twist, too.
While Dante’s investigating Peter, will Dante discover the trail to living Drew? Could this lead to Drew’s discovery and rescue from wherever he might be held in captivity? Whether Billy Miller comes back or GH brings in a recast, it’d be great for Dante to play the hero and bring Drew home.
