General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, September 25 Recap - Neil’s Bro Bans Alexis From Memorial - Liz & Franco Stick With Blackmail

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, September 25, reveal that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) walked into Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) memorial service, where Alexis promptly met Neil’s brother.

Alexis introduced herself and extended her condolences, but Neil’s brother proceeded to blast Alexis, saying that he wished Neil had never met her and that she caused him more sorrow than joy.

The brother insisted that Neil was moving on from the pain of his relationship with Alexis, when that one night in New York ended his career. The brother fumed that Alexis took Neil’s livelihood, and that Neil threw what was left of his life away on a drug overdose.

“I don’t want this service tainted with your presence. You’re not welcome,” the brother said, horrifying Alexis, who promptly left.

At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) finished up his conversation with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane), imploring her to come home and venting a bit about Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) being off running around with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

At the hospital, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) finished up a phone conversation with her drug dealer when Chase walked up and informed her about Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) death. Sasha was overwhelmed with relief and needed a moment, and Chase wondered if she was ok.

Chase thought that this meant that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) could divorce, but Sasha disagreed, saying that disclosing their manipulation wouldn’t make everything ok.

Sasha got agitated and snipped at Chase, and he wondered what was wrong with her. Sasha said that she hadn’t been sleeping well lately, and Chase said that he was there for her as a friend.

Soon, Brook Lynn came along and learned about Nelle’s death. Chase took off, and Sasha told Brook Lynn that they needed her voice at Deception, but Brook Lynn said that the doctors hadn’t given her the all clear to sing yet.

Brook Lynn tried to hint that she’d like to be part of the business side of Deception, but Sasha was distracted and was slow on the uptake. Sasha eventually left for her meeting with her drug dealer, and Brook Lynn told herself that she needed to figure out how to be the voice of deception without a voice.

In another area of the hospital, it was revealed to viewers that the blackmailing of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was the bright idea of Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

Everything was good until Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) revealed that he had asked Nikolas and Ava each for $125K rather than the $25K that they agreed upon.

Elizabeth was horrified, and she wanted to call things off, but eventually Franco and Scott persuaded her that it would be ok, and that Ava and Nikolas wouldn’t go to the cops.

Scott took off, and Elizabeth and Franco talked about their relationship and reassured each other that everything was good, even though they had some rocky moments there for a while.

On a WSB jet, Olivia, Robert, and Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) traveled in the direction of Port Charles. Olivia lamented that she lost her phone somewhere, and she thought perhaps she was the reason that they couldn’t end up saving Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

Ethan and Robert reassured Olivia that wasn’t the case. When Olivia stepped away, Ethan and Robert drank together and talked about Holly, winding up on good terms despite some of the things that happened in the past.

Olivia returned and asked Ethan what his plans were, and whether he was going to come to Port Charles. Ethan said that he had a date in Antigua as soon as they touched down, and Robert promised that if Ethan ever needed him, that he was just a phone call away.

At the coffee place, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) talked with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) ahead of the homecoming dance. Cameron shared that his mom and Franco were worried about bills lately, and that he’d probably have to get a job to help with expenses.

After a little talk about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and a little flirting, Josslyn got a call from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about Nelle’s death. Josslyn shared that she was relieved by the news, then talk turned back to homecoming and Josslyn needed to rush off to get ready for the dance.

At the Floating Rib, Alexis and Valentin walked in while Ned approached Chase at the bar. Ned belted down a double scotch, then he saw Valentin at a table with Alexis and he got annoyed. Ned approached the table and asked Valentin to step outside. Alexis eyeballed a drink as a waiter carried one by the table.

Outside, Ned grumped at Valentin, calling him a smug bastard who preyed on Brook Lynn. Valentin tried to walk away, saying that Ned was drunk. Ned belted Valentin. Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, Alexis went to the bar and ordered a double vodka.
