General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the problems are piling up when it comes to a wedding that may not happen. GH fans know Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are planning to tie the knot, but there’s so much coming at them right now.
It seems like every day brings a new challenge and another threat to the nuptials.
For starters, there’s Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and all the chaos he brings to the table. Finn has come to accept Peter and even suggested making him part of the wedding party recently, but Peter’s presence at the ceremony could still create a problem.
Between Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) mission that could turn dangerous and Peter’s connection to Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), the wedding could become a venue for quite a showdown.
Alex would probably be the biggest threat here since her desire to kill Anna has become known – and what better time for this twisted sister to try again than on Anna’s wedding day?
We also know Finn’s got some family drama that’s about to blow up. Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) is in town – and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) won’t be far behind.
It won’t be long until the whole fam’s together, including Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). The tension between Finn and his dad as well as stepmom could explode and drag Chase into the mess.
Again, this ceremony is the perfect time and place for that. There has to be some erupting chaos or it just isn’t a soap wedding! Even with all these threats, there’s one that Finn hasn’t considered – one that could bring the nuptials to a screeching halt and bring a major twist.
What if Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) finally returns – just in time to stop the wedding and prevent this marriage?
Jackie, Alex and everyone else may not matter much after that! Deep down, part of Finn’s always going to want Hayden and what they had together. There was a special bond between them anyway, but it really intensified after Finn found out he shared a daughter with Hayden.
The fact that Hayden kept Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) from Finn caused conflict for a while, but Finn ultimately moved past it. If Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hadn’t tricked Hayden into going into hiding, there’s a good chance Finn would’ve broken up with Anna by now.
General Hospital seemed poised to reunite Finn with Hayden until her abrupt departure pulled them apart once more.
Could fate bring Hayden back to Finn before he marries Anna? Hayden might get out of whatever jam she’s gotten herself in and resurface to explain everything.
Nikolas’ extensive search turned up nothing, so there have been fears that Hayden might be dead. Finn would certainly be relieved to see Hayden again, so old feelings could come rushing back.
Anna herself might even call off the wedding to let Finn sort through what he’d obviously be feeling. Regardless, it’d be great to get Hayden back in the action. Since this wedding may turn into total mayhem, GH should just throw Hayden in the mix to trump all the other issues entirely!
Hayden’s surprise return could become the biggest threat to this wedding – at least in terms of whether Finn and Anna actually get hitched. As other news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
