General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) could be dealing with some heartbreak soon. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) seems to be on the verge of dumping Jason, so what does that mean for his romantic future?
Jason will certainly need some time to cope with the breakup if one’s indeed coming. Sam is arguably the love of Jason’s life, so he may never truly be able to let go. However, that doesn’t mean Jason has to stay single forever. In fact, Jason might find himself jumping into bed with someone else rather quickly.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has proven she doesn’t mind casual hookups. She wasn’t interested in building a life with Julian Jerome (William deVry) or even going on a proper date. There were simply some flying sparks that they both decided to take advantage of.
The same type of scenario might happen between Britt and Jason if Sam leaves him. Jason may end up feeling lonely and in need of comfort. Britt presumably doesn’t have some special in her life either, so there’s no reason Britt and Jason can’t fall into bed together.
It’s easy to imagine Britt suggesting it doesn’t have to mean anything. It could just be two people coming together to ease some Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) stress and help Jason start to heal.
Of course, General Hospital writers could set up something more between Jason and Britt eventually. It’s possible what starts out as a meaningless night of passion could turn into so much more.
It might even be a case where GH writers see how fans respond and then proceed accordingly. If General Hospital viewers can get on board with Jason and Britt’s chemistry, maybe they could have a bright future as a couple.
If not, the hookup would still help Jason cope in a dark moment. It might do the same for Britt since she’s stuck in all this Cyrus drama and feeling overwhelmed.
