General Hospital Spoilers: Josh Swickard Talks Return to Filming and New Storylines – GH Star Ready to Bring Fans More Episodes

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase) is excited to get back to work! In a new interview with Metro.co.uk, Swickard talked about GH’s return to filming and offered his thoughts on new storylines. The General Hospital actor feels like the show could find a way for art to imitate life.

Although Swickard isn’t sure what GH writers will do about the pandemic, he admitted he could see them writing it in. Swickard doesn’t think it would be a bad idea since General Hospital has done a great job of tackling real-life problems in the past. In fact, Swickard praised the soap genre as a whole for that.

“GH – and just soaps in general – are really good at taking real-life issues and wrapping it into a dramatic storyline,” Swickard insisted. “So yeah, I could see them doing it.” Swickard was quick to add that it’s not his decision to make, but he does think it’s possible under the circumstances.

Swickard went on to talk about how difficult it’s been to be off work for so long. He’s missing the rest of the cast – and they undoubtedly feel the same way! Swickard knows this experience has been tough for General Hospital fans as well, so he’s hoping for confirmation on a restart date soon.

“I think the fans are really missing it,” Swickard said. “And I think the actors are eager to get back to set and working on new episodes.” That brings us to when General Hospital will finally resume production. It’s been great to see some classics, but new content is what most of us are looking for at this point.

So when will GH get back up and running? There’s no official news about an exact date just yet, but we’re getting closer. The Bold and the Beautiful resumed production last week before a testing snag hit. B&B had to get that straightened out first, but the cast and crew will film once again starting June 23.

According to Deadline, The Young and the Restless is also hoping to restart production on July 6. Once two out of the four main soaps are back in the game, it shouldn’t be too long until General Hospital and Days of Our Lives follow their lead. We’ll deliver more updates as other details come in.

General Hospital spoilers say Chase’s life will remain a mess once new episodes return, so don’t miss what’s in store. CDL’s where you want to be for terrific General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
