General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio-Drake) recently shared a scary California wildfire experience with her fans. On Twitter, McCullough reflected on a difficult ordeal and passed along some advice. It turns out McCullough and her family faced a change of plans due to the wildfires in California.
“So… me and my family drove back from Cambria today, we were supposed to go to Big Sur but I had nightmares that kept me up all night and I made the call to not go to Big Sur and lose a lot of money I spent on a rad hotel for us,” McCullough tweeted.
However, safety had to come first – and the decision turned out to be the right one. McCullough talked about that tough drive back and how it affected her young son. It was certainly not the trip McCullough had in mind!
“I woke up this morning to learn that Big Sur is on fire and highway 1 is closed,” McCullough said in a follow-up tweet. “Driving back through apocalyptic smoke was hard. Especially because our 3 year old son was confused as to why we couldn’t stop or roll the window down”
McCullough sent out another tweet that urged everyone in the affected areas to take this seriously. You can never be too careful when it comes to wildfires and the threat they pose.
As an animal lover, McCullough couldn’t help but think about the suffering animals who might not be able to escape. The General Hospital actress also had a useful tip for California dwellers.
“This is real people,” McCullough warned. “My nerves are shot and I keep thinking about all of the animals who may not be able to make it out safely. Please think good thoughts for the poeple in the area and have a “go bag” if you live in Ca. Much love to you Cali. It’s hard to see you like this.”
A little later, McCullough sent one more tweet with some words of gratitude for firefighters. They’re the ones putting their lives on the line to keep everybody safe in these terrifying times.
“Yes thank you fire fighters,” McCullough said in response to KSBW Action News 8’s grateful post. “I literally would’nt be able to sleep at night if you didn’t go out there and be badass heroes”
