General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kin Shriner’s (Scott ‘Scotty’ Baldwin) speaking out about the lack of airtime for his character. It turns out he’s downright embarrassed by it! On Twitter, Shriner decided to address the issue and offer his gratitude to all the loyal fans out there.
“I have a couple of shows @GeneralHospital coming up but embarrassed to continue to promote a character I have played for over 42 years is now a day player,” Shriner said. “Thank u for your support over the years!”
Shriner’s obviously upset about Scott being relegated to the background. It’s not surprising since General Hospital has such a huge cast. Some GH fans feel like the show could stand to cut a few characters to make room for fan favorites like Scott.
Regardless, viewers are always eager for more Scotty! It didn’t take long for Shriner to receive tons of supportive replies. He definitely has plenty of people in his corner, so let’s take a look at what some of them had to say.
“You are so beloved as an actor & Scotty is ICONIC,” one fan insisted. “You should be more prominent on #GH. Soap writers need to understand that soap viewers are loyal & we appreciate the HISTORY. The characters are like friends we invite over every day for decades. Old friends are rare & valuable.”
Another General Hospital watcher said, “Kin you are our star and you have no reason to be embarrassed amongst your fans.” “You deserve so much better than this,” said one more angry viewer. There’s a lot of outrage when it comes to Scott going missing along with other important vets.
Of course, there are other fans who like the current balance and are fine with occasional Scott popups. It’s all a matter of what characters you like and want to see featured most. However, we can all agree that Shriner is a hard-working performer who’s been in the business for decades. He’s a classic and beloved character at GH, so we hope he’ll stick around for many years to come!
General Hospital spoilers, news and updates say there’s much more drama ahead in Port Charles. Will Scott get involved in Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) upcoming legal nightmare? That’s one option to consider as the action heats up.
