General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that it’s time to talk about one character’s seemingly forgotten love life. Will Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) ever find happiness? GH fans know things didn’t work out between Kristina and Parker Forsyth (Ashley Jones), but that doesn’t mean Krissy should stay single forever!
Kristina fell prey to Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) at Dawn of Day, so it’s good that she’s had this time to reflect and overcome all that. Even so, it seems like Kristina’s been single long enough. Kristina deserves the change to put herself back out there now that she’s past the cult drama.
Will General Hospital ever give Kristina another love interest? When Kristina lashed out at Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and insisted she was a danger junkie along with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) felt like Kristina was jealous.
Kristina didn’t see it that way, but she did admit she wants a loving, committed relationship like Molly.
It’s just a matter of Kristina meeting the right person – or perhaps reconnecting with one she’s already met. Kristina has talked about sexuality being fluid before.
During a chat with Daisy Kwan (Kelsey Wang), Kristina suggested that she identifies as bi most days. That gives Kristina plenty of options, but there’s one in particular that might be worth pursuing.
After a moment of connection, Kristina shared a kiss with Valerie Spencer back when Brytni Sarpy was in the role. Valerie freaked out, but GH writers definitely appeared to be going somewhere with that story. However, plans seemingly changed after Sarpy scored a contract role as Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless.
Paulina Bugembe was brought in as a Valerie recast in 2019, but it was clear from the get-go that she wasn’t cast with Kristina in mind. Although Bugembe’s a perfectly fine actress, she arguably wasn’t the right fit for the part itself.
That’s probably why Valerie has completely dropped off the map. Valerie isn’t even mentioned anymore, but maybe that’ll change down the road.
Since Valerie’s essentially off the show, there’s always the possibility that General Hospital will recast again and restart this love story. Valerie and Kristina would be an interesting couple to explore.
Of course, GH could always bring in a brand-new love interest for Kristina. The point is Kristina needs another shot at a happily ever after!
