General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are speaking out about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) forgotten daughter. With Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) death rapidly approaching, there’s a question that’s become more than ever: Where is Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth)?!
It’s starting to feel like some strange sci-fi movie where someone’s erased from a family and they try to convince you that person never existed in the first place.
On the September 11 episode, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) shared some tender moments with Mike as she imagined a reality where he survived and was there for all her milestones. One of those milestones involved Joss’ graduation.
As a graduation present in this fantasy, Mike handed over a watch that belonged to Sonny’s mother, Adela Corinthos. A stunned Joss suggested maybe Mike should give it to Donna Corinthos or Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) instead.
“Why?” Mike replied. “You are every bit as much mine as any of the grandkids – and I don’t want you to ever think different.”
That’s a lovely sentiment and makes sense considering Joss is a huge part of Sonny’s family. Sonny considers Carly Corithos’ (Laura Wright) daughter as much as his own as any of his other children.
However, it was downright bizarre for GH to devote nearly an entire episode to Joss and Mike’s supposed connection. Josslyn and Mike didn’t really even spend that much time together before now.
Of course, Kristina didn’t spend that much time with Mike either, but shouldn’t she still be included? Josslyn didn’t even think to mention Kristina when she suggested giving the watch to Donna or Avery!
It’s not fair considering Kristina tried to protect her grandfather after he caused an explosion at Charlie’s Pub back in 2018, which led to Kristina trying to retrieve the wrench from the crime scene.
Mike panicked over his beloved granddaughter being put in danger and shared some sweet scenes at the hospital with Kristina later.
Let’s look at Mike’s own words to Kristina on September 11, 2018. “Did your father ever tell you how much you’re like his mother? I mean, I see so much of Adela in you,” Mike said. So where’s Kristina’s watch? Why isn’t she being included in Mike’s farewell at all?
On Twitter, General Hospital fans have been speaking out about the glaring omission. “I’m sorry but as beautiful as Josslyn & Mike’s scenes were, Kristina should’ve been the granddaughter featured in those scenes,” one viewer argued. “Mike & Kristina have more of history.”
“No, it was unnecessary to do a whole episode with Joss who barely had a connection with Mike. It should have been Kristina,” another fan insisted. “Cried because Kristina should’ve been there. Joss dreaming about Mike giving her Adela’s bracelet was a slap in the face,” one more fan tweeted.
“That seemed so odd to me!” another viewer said. “Joss and Mike had never seemed particularly close. But Sonny’s actual daughter wasn’t even there to say goodbye?”
Maybe the show will surprise us and include Kristina after all, but it certainly doesn’t look that way now. It’s a shame that Kristina’s become Sonny’s forgotten daughter, so let’s hope GH writers will do a better job of including her in the future!
