General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview teases that the action is really revving up on the ABC soap. As GH viewers know, last week left off with some major drama, with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) getting her throat slashed by Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) and being left for dead at the Nurses’ Ball.
Last GH viewers saw, Brook Lynn was being rushed off to the hospital and she was alive, but it wasn’t at all clear whether she was going to make it or not.
Well, as the week of August 24 picks up, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will wait anxiously at the hospital for word on Brook Lynn’s condition.
This was a violent crime, and Brook Lynn could easily have been killed, but GH spoilers indicate that Brook Lynn will survive her injuries and live to tell the story about what happened to her.
Ned is going to be beside himself with worry, and the new GH promo shows him breaking down and crying in Olivia’s arms. As GH viewers know, Ned had recently thrown Brook Lynn out of the Quartermaine mansion for selling off her ELQ shares, which ended up in Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) hands.
Ned coldly rejected Brook Lynn and completely devastated her. It looks like Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) will evaluate Brook Lynn soon enough and provide an update to Ned and Olivia about her condition.
The good news here is that Brook Lynn will end up being alive and well, but the bad news is that she’ll have suffered a throat injury, which could very well mean that her singing career is over and done.
Next, the General Hospital preview promo turns to another big storyline, which is the kidnapping of Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). As GH viewers know, Nelle blackmailed Julian Jerome (William deVry) into swiping Wiley from the Quartermaine mansion, and in so doing he chloroformed Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson).
Well, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is about to put some clues together and realize that someone subdued Monica, then took Wiley out of the mansion.
Michael is shown in the promo calling the police and reporting the kidnapping. We’ll see what happens next – as the action left off last Friday, Wiley was in a car by himself while Julian whipped out a gun and was holding Nelle at gunpoint on the pier.
General Hospital spoilers say the search for Wiley is going to go on for a few days, it’s possible that Wiley will either stay with Nelle and/or Julian, or that he could even be taken from that car by someone else.
At any rate, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be on the situation, as he tells Michael that “We’re going to get Wiley back.” Sonny and his henchmen might have a better chance at getting Wiley back than the police do at this point.
But that may all depend on what Brook Lynn is able to communicate to the police and what she overheard in the moments before her attack, when Nelle was on the phone with Julian.
